You want to talk defenses? For all this lauding of the Jax defense, they've given up the most points in the NFL (before Thursday).
They've scored the fewest points on offense.
That results in the worst net point differential in the NFL.
They give up almost 400 yards of offense a game and almost 29 points a game.
Giants defense is slightly better but not by much. Their offense is better, and you could say the difference is significant. jags have the worst offense in the NFL.
They even have a worse net point differential than the Jets who have gotten slaughtered in several spots this year.
The Jets have the best front 7 in football. Guess what? Who cares. They are on the field too much because their offense is nonexistent.
And that's an offense that is statistically better than the Jags. Yes the same offense that laid down like DOGS against the Bills.
So to sit here and look at "great red zone defense" for the Jags as an example, is to miss the larger picture. the team had one win for a reason.
These are basic stats, but laud a defense (or as you did above, defame an opposing defense) with an competent offense. Not one with the worst offense in the NFL (and that's an offense that is scoring a lot in garbage time too!).
And +3 is a push line. You get nothing if you don't push. In fact, you'll lose 3 units on the ML you bet without the three. Where are the close games the Jags have played? They haven't played much of any. They beat the Browns in a huge letdown spot.
