btw what are your thoughts on the Chiefs this weekend?
With two guns to my head I couldn't pick a side in that shitfest.
Andy, agree with what you said in post 1 about the Eagles no show. I think Trent Cole was the only guy on that team that I can say put forth 110% effort in a losing cause. Rest of those guys were playing like the overpaid and overhyped bums they are. This team shows glimpses of the pure talent and SPEED they have and if they ever decide to put it together will be scary, but right now, nothing but hype.
Giants might be walking into a buzzsaw with Arizona. Sometime today gonna watch last week's game to get a gauge on them as I'm not quite sure what to think of them.
- Week 1, they barely escape a battle with Carolina and at the time you think, "Whew, putrid D allowed a rookie QB to do that in his first start." Since then, Newton almost beat the reigning world champs, and then won in a sloppy monsoon game last week, so maybe this Week 1 victory was more impressive than initially seemed.
- Week 2, Arizona flies across the country to face the lowly Redskins, but how bad are the Redskins? They beat up the Giants Week 1, defeated Zona week 2, and hung in there on the road against Dallas on MNF. They are a scrappy and well coached squad and losing to them Week 2 shouldn't be the end of the world.
- Week 3, a loss to Seattle. Didn't see a second of this game so gotta get caught up.
Bottom line is looking back, Arizona's Week 1 win and Week 2 loss are now more impressive in my mind, and think they can actually beat this Giant team at home.

I wish to Christ I saw this before I watched the game. AWFUL football.
Speaking of awful football, I can't think of the game(all this football is warping my mind right now), but there was like a 45 yard FG attempt and the kicker was about 3 yards short of the uprights. I wanna say it was Jay Feely, but I'm not sure. If I ever have a kid, I'm gonna be training him at 12 months to kick field goals because after seeing that, he might only have to be marginally talented to make the NFL for some easy money.
Thanks for the props. Last week the ball seemed to bounce my way in every game. Except for Houston! I had a "shits and giggles" ML parlay with Bills, Seahawks, Raiders, and Houston. Something stupid that was 20 to win like 900. Looking at my history Monday morning after the storm, it hit me how bad Houston fucked me. It's all good though. Can't win em all.

Good stuff, Disco. I'm a sucker for the ol Steelers and have been looking this game up and down to give me a reason to take those 4 points, but I can't find one.

The Giants are the better team in every facet of the game. With some new additions in the short offseason, they were a bit slow getting into a rythym at the start of the season. I expect them to build off last weeks win. I expected this line to be more like 3.5. All over the Giants. The Cardinals just lost to the Seahawks.

Just locked up Philly -9 and NE -4. I like those NE stats off a loss, and I think SF is so inept on offense that the Eagles won't have to score anything crazy to cover that number. I do like how SF has looked on defense, but they haven't exactly seen such an explosive offense like Philly yet.
I'm heading to Myrtle Beach for a week, so won't be around to post for a bit. Right now, my plan is to leave these games as my only action, but I am planning on spending Sunday afternoon at a sports bar in Surfside Beach and theres a good chance that I will add to that card in a drunken 355pm decision.

Atlanta's the only play I locked in as soon as the line came out (not that it's moved much). I'm not sure if the line's "off" per se, as I don't know how big a road fave you can really make them, but it's certainly a fantastic spot with the Falcons off a loss and Seattle of an (ugly) win.
I don't think Atlanta is a great team, and they most certainly are not a great team when you get them out of a dome...but the Seahawks just plain stink. It's surprising to me, but I don't think oddsmakers truly understand how bad this Hawks team is yet. This is the type of game I will gladly pay to see the Hawks stay within 4 points of this Falcons team...right or wrong I can't possibly fathom backing the Hawks here.
As for the other games:
It's a good situational spot to take the Rams, but if you do you better just close your eyes and pray. This is the type of bet if you make you better be heading out to watch a movie or something because you certainly don't want to be paying attention to it.
Like the Texans quite a bit. I made a futures bet on the Chargers/Steelers to win the AFC, and at this point I still believe in San Diego, but have almost pulled the plug on Pittsburgh already. I think they're going on name alone at this point as they look pretty damn awful. Lots of issues to work out (and luckily they have an extremely easy schedule so they might be able to do just that), but on the road in Houston isn't the place they're magically going to get better.
Can't see the 9ers winning back to back games on the East coast. If nothing else that's a teaser play on the Eagles for sure.

This is a spot on analysis of the Patriots. Well done. Defense will be the Patriots mantra this week. Pats are 10th in the league against the run also. I do not see Jason Campbell throwing for 300+ yards either.

Thank you for bringing up Painter I watched SNF and the Colts fought really hard for that guy and I think they will do that again this week no value on TB.
Your play beneath that is golden and this time yes this time even Norv won't be able to fuck it up. Dolphins will give Sporano the pink slip after this game heading into a bye. Massive massive let down for the team after losing to the Hillis-less Browns they won't have anything left for this game. I will probably be on the Phins at the Jets with a ton of value after Sporano gets fired. The Phins porous pass D will get absolutely lit up by Rivers and a focused Chargers squad and at 7 I don't think we get dicked on the spread. Gonna give Norv one more chance here and if they don't cover I'm done with that team for the season.

I thought I was the only one who felt this way. Watching SNF before the Monday Night game is like watching the Varsity game before the JV kids play. just seems ass backwards.
And as far as ESPN - What game what was it a couple years ago(Maybe Tampa/Jax) where they asked the head coach to wait to take a timeout for TV purposes? Ridiculous!!
