And .... Want to THANK YOU for your excellent write ups !! It gets my football juices rolling !! I want to get your thoughts on the Dallas / Detroit game ! I noticed you stayed away from this one !! I know Dallas is coming off a short week but it was at home! Detroit b2b road games !!With Dallas coming off a ugly win and maybe 80% of their star players injured or not at full strength they still managed to pull off a win ! I think Dez Bryant was still hurt and most of the time the focus of the defense, needless to say! That left the #3 WR Ogletree as basically the go to guy ! I know Dez made the play of the game at the end but again I believe he was about 80% ! Romo didnt go to him much maybe 4 times? Because of it! I don't know what was wrong with Holly ( the WR that caught the late pass in the SF game?) Bare with me I'm trying to go somewhere with this !!!! I think the focus of the the practice this week by the coaches in Dallas will be all these young receivers knowing their assignments and executing the short game! You know with Detroit's D wants to go after the injured Romo ! Just like evry team ! He will make the short dink, spread out and roll out the focus of their game plan !! If they have success then I see their inept running game take over! I thought Dallas's D weakness was their backs .. no team has explored them and they have played fairly well? Maybe it's because of the front 7 ! D Ware and Sean Lee have been beast !! This is how I see this game playing out..... Romo uses the short dink, dunk, roll out passing game to move the O ! This will open up the running game and keep Suh and Farley from T ing off of him! Field goals will be at a premium !! In short I like Dallas -2.5 and under 46 ... maybe this is the their 10th 3 point game in a row ?? Also I think Detroit is due to come back down to earth !! In no way do I want to take the fact they are a very good team !! Plus it's so nice to see them do good after so may BAD years! Lions and Bills have are the feel good teams this year !! They both lose Sunday!! Bad spot for both of them !! Thanks for your time and thoughts !! PS I told you Logan Thomas ( VT) was a CHOCKER !!

Making a rare chase play on the line in Houston and no question probably deserve to lose for making such a bad move but I really do like this spot for Houston. They haven't remade their team, got a new attitude, coaches, and players to end up as the same old Texans team from the past few years that can't win big games or bounce back from adversity. Step on up Houston and get that signature win.

I lean Dallas here too. Counting preseason the Lions have not lost on the closing line to the spread for 12 games. Eventually the lines are going to catch up to them. Let's not forget this team was down 20-0 at halftime last week and came back against a team that has blown huge leads in every game. I'm just not sure Dallas has the horses to keep up though.
Logan Thomas is god awful.

Rough week bro...same shit got hammered chased on the Jets fucking sucked.
Initial gut says go with Tampa and lay the points but this one going to come down to Tampa Oline slowing down Freeney. They keep him out of it, this game will be a blowout as it should. Just like we saw in that horrible shit show last night it all comes down to the o-line.
Situationally, great opportunity for Tampa as an under the radar team to show how sick they are on primetime. Tampa hasn't had a MNF game since 2008 and Jeff Garcia started that game....enough said.
Other than Freeney wrecking havoc behind the line, can't see a reason to take the Colts...you said it yourself, more often than not the MNF game is a shit game and the real prime time is now NBC on Sun night. Wonder your thoughts...GL

Guys I've been thinking about this hard for the last two days and I think I'm going to throw in the towel (for the most part).
This is an extremely important few months for me in my real life. I'm not going to get into details but I am extremely busy and have to allocate almost all of my time to other more important things basically 7 days a week. I thought I could pull off the football season but I don't think I'll be able to. I have very little spare time right now and using it to research and put money on football games may not be my best bet. Chasing that awful Jets bet (and betting much more on it than usual to get it back) was the straw that broke the camel's back and a major wake up call. I don't bet on sports for a living but the next few months will have a big impact on what I do do for a living and taking time away from those projects to bet football is probably not a wise call. I'm really glad I made that stupid chase bet because it was a kick in the ass and made me realize the risk/reward situation of putting time into football this year may not be worth it.
There will always be a football season but in my real life I have one shot at something big and that is happening right now. My schedule clears significantly around christmas which is nice for the playoffs and CFB Bowls. I think for now the week to week breaking down of the Pro and College cards is done. I haven't looked at game in either yet this week and don't plan on doing so. If I do find a little time in the coming weeks I will throw a few bets down and check in with some thoughts somewhere in the forums. It is going to be tough to give this up this year but I am a disciplined person and think I can pull it off until I feel a have a little time to look at a few games and keeping up with the leagues.
It's been very informative and entertaining talking games so far with some great cappers even though it's only been 4 weeks (5 in College) and I hope that continues if and when I find the time. However for now I can only wish you GL the rest of the way.

Football isn't going anywhere, Andy. Respect the fact that you have the will to take some time off and prioritize. It takes a lot of discipline. Regardless, although I'm sure it will be hard since you won't be gambling, hope to see you around. Take care, bud.

Thanks fellas. I've had a couple more days to think about it and no doubt this is the right call. I will miss the back and forth and will try to check in if I do find some time to throw in a few bets but for now the week to week thing is done for a couple of months. It is going to be very strange to know there are football games going on this weekend and I won't have a penny on them and probably won't be watching.
Anyway GL this rest of the way.
