Every expert has Philly winning. Sounds like a slam dunk. A lot of favorites have came through in week 1.
I looked at playing large philly. Murray is a great back taking pressure off of Bradford. Chip Kelly and co. have gotten tons of press and I heard nothing about atl. It just seems too good to be true taking philly so on a hunch.... I am taking Atl at home on Monday night. Lets go Matty Ice

I got giants +3 inplay (win) parlayed with Atl large. I won some Sunday but Dal and Indy killed me. I was going all in on philly (weekly spending limit) but thought it is crazy chasing and philly is way too good to be true. Why is atl not getting any love??? You got Matt vs. Bradford. Atl at home. Why is Philly realistically the favorite other than being hyped?

Eagles LARGE. This could be over by halftime like the Chiefs/Bengals did today. Eagles are a top 3 team in the NFC along with Packers and Seahawks IMO, Can you really put Falcons top 10? Great running game, underrated receivers, and a QB that should shine in Kelly's offense. 34-24 final score with a garbage time Falcons TD in last couple of mins to make it closer than what it was really like.

I hope you 2 guys are wrong. Atl had a couple of bad seasons but always play well at home. Philly has all these new pieces and a bunch of hype but have yet to prove anything especially being top 3. I think it will be close with home team prevailing.
I think we should be betting how many games Bradford plays before injury....

First off chill out on sucking the Eagles hog before even a game has been played. Bradford is on a new team with a new system. He is going to make mistakes. Matt Ryan at home is a different beast. Last seasons home opener when they throttled the Saints was an epic showdown. All the clowns that lost money Sunday will be riding the favorites jock tonight chasing losses. Atlanta was +5 in the turnover differential last year and upgraded their offensive line. Both teams had similar stats last year with the Eagles rushing averaging more yards per game but now the Falcons have added some speedsters and I believe Atlanta wins this one 30-27.

I prefer Matt Ryan's established offense at home over PHI's new QB and RB first game on the road. But the one thing that gives me pause is ATL's defense which was by far the worst in the NFL last year.

That D could be a problem. But, philly's offense is a work in progress and is going to make mistakes. Mat on the other hand should be on the same page with his guys at home.

Atlantas defense is brutally awful besides Beasley and Trufant.
Besides Julio Jones, Matt Ryan has no other WRs or anyone else to throw the ball to. If White plays he is just going to be a decoy and is going to be playing banged up anyways, and hes old and regressing.
Atlanta has all rookies for running backs. Can they block?
Philadelphia vastly improved their defense, particularly their secondary (Alonso, Thurmond, Jenkins, Maxwell).
Bradford works much better in Chip Kellys system then Foles ever would have, hes a perfect fit in Philly. He has got a workhorse proven running back in Murray, and has Mathews and Sproles backing him up who is electric.
I just can't see Atlanta winning this one. Their defense is awful, Ryan has no one else to throw the ball to other than Julio, and Philadelphia vastly improved during the offseason. And for teams with awful defenses like Atlanta, it's tough for them to keep up with such an up tempo fast paced offense like the Eagles.
Gimme the Eagles and 49ers tonight!

I feel the Eagles should be a top team in the NFC so this game is a good measuring stick. The key is if their defense has gotten any better, which may still kind of suck and if they can control the clock a bit better with Murray. I really like Chip's aggressive approach so I'm rooting for him. He just needs to hire someone to manage the clock because he seems to make mistakes.

Slushi, you make a very good point. My first reaction was Philly since they were only -2.5. With what you eloquently said, they should easily cover. However, Philly needs time to jell. Bradford looked sharp in preseason but with new system and rust, will he be effective? Did Dallas's offensive line make murray better than he really is? Matt is pretty good at home. You forgot Clayborn, he could get to Bradford. I think the odds makers are baiting people to taking philly. I was totally sold too at first.
I got Atl +2.5.

Eagles have done nothing yet. overreaction to PREseason. All new key offense pieces... Bradford, Murray, WR's.
Matty, Julio, Roddy are a fine tuned machine and will tear the top of that Philly secondary. Falcons are improved at Defense and you are in the dome on opening monday night,
no brainer for me. Falcons ml

Both teams had terrible defenses last year, Eagles got torched vs the pass. Yes they upgraded with Maxwell but they were still figuring out who would be the other CB and then traded Boykin who was a plucky playmaker at the nickel. They drafted 2 CBs, one they might start at safety and the other is already out for the year and so they were unsure who would start at the nickel.
Maxwell looked solid in preseason but I wonder will he find life a bit harder without all the talent around him. This is not a secondary stacked with top tier talent like Seattle. First matchup as a number 1 corner is Julio Jones? Yikes.
Early in my capping career I would get sucked in with the team who made all kinds of big off season moves. And they always ended up being money burners. I am most likely staying away from this one.
Might play the under tho, in case the Eagles Offense takes some time to gel. Also they will run a lot with Murray and to keep Matty Ice on the sideline. It's a massive number at 54.5

Bradford has a career completion percentage of 58.6 percent and a 59-38 touchdown/interception ratio. Matt Ryan is 64% and 181-91 ratio. I thought Ryan's touchdown/int. ration would be better but still better than Bradford.
Wonder what the odds are for porcelain Bradford making it throught the entire season?
