The G-men
Here we have a very good complete team. A team that went flying under the radar and now they have won a few big games and people are now finally seeing that Eli Manning is a fuking gamer! There strengths are throwing the ball on offense but the play action game is very important with these guys. I think 49ers could shut down the run game and could kill the ability to make play action as effective as it needs to be but they still make big plays that count and they do it consistanly . On defense there weekness would definitely be in the secondary not that they have shown it recently. They have a very good pass rush that has been helping significantly. I been riding these boys for a while now and been getting paid off the excellent play of Eli the Gamer Manning. I think the general public will sway towards the G-men based on a 17 point win against the pack.
Then we have the 49ers
DAMN! I got scared watching these boys play the Saints. Thomas got knocked out cold on that first drive and niners didnt stop after that. They played hard, real hard. I thought borderline dirty. But its the playoffs and they let em play the game. This defense is very good. Drew Brees did put up points but common them guys where on a roll and had all the momentum in the world. I think the fact niners won is a huge accomplishment being overlooked. Saints where champions had that not happened. Giants run game has picked up lately but Niners will shut this game down in my opinion. Question is can the Niners put up points like that again? Or will they even have to? Alex Smith looked like a baller last week, I never thught he had it in him. All I could say was wow. If he plays like that again well this matchup is over. 49ers clearly have a better defense and I will give them the edge in the run game also. I see the 49ers getting little love from the public based on only a 4 point victory against a team that is not good on the road (that is general public opinion not mine, I think this is a huge overlooked accomplishment)
My first gut reaction is the under. I think the G-men struggle to move the ball without the run game and play action. I think 49ers will have a tougher time and will imply a much more patient attack knowing they are not competing with the Saints. G-men are good but not the Saints. I think both defenses step it up. I truly think Alex Smith is the x factor all the way around. Both very solid teams. I like the Niners but just have hard time trusting Alex Smith over Eli Manning.

Niners have playmakers all over the field on D and will apply pressure the pack could not! Better special teams niners! These playoff games come down to the little things and the niners do all the little things better!!!
