And not only did they beat those quality teams they DESTROYED them
I'd like to know if the 9ers would do the same? Didn't think so.
The 49ers already beat the Giants once. They will do it again on Sunday

NEW ENGLAND VS NEW YORK GIANT SUPERBOWL REPEAT
NINERS GOT LUCKY WITH THE INT AND FUMBLE CLOSE TO END ZONE. NINERS NEED TO SCORE TD TO BEAT THE GIANTS. IF ROGER COULD NOT DO IT MAYBE ALEX SMITH CAN. NINERS HAS PLAY 1 TEAM WITH A GOOD DEFENSE, THAT IS BALTIMORE AND THEY LOST. NOW LET SEE IF THEY CAN BEAT THE GIANT DEFENSE. GIANT OFFENSE CAN SLOW DOWN THE GAME AND PLAY KEEP AWAY. NYG 19 SF 17 FINAL SCORE.

I agree. Lots going overlooked on the Niners I am seeing.

I agree with the lack of arguements here. I more so agree with your theory on this game and thats why I am having a hard time picking a side. Should be a good ol defensive battle with slight edge going to the home team.

First post is a very respectable one. I like it and strongly agree with everything.
-Niners are so overlooked right now
-Niners did cause those fumbles and knocked the shit out of dem boys
-Giants been rolling but I cant necessarily use this against them, this must be placed in the positive column for them. But at same time this could go against them but I cant count on it. This does however give the edge to Niners in the Freshness column as Niners should have more energy.
-Weather is a major check plus for Niners and the Under!
I also havent heard the east coast to west coast trip yet. This will also hurt the fatigue of the G-men.

So other than Eli can throw for 300+ and the Giants just steam rolled the Pack, I havent seen very valid points to back the G-men.
Niners on the other hand have a few good points and reasoning to back them.
Leaning Niners and Under, will need some reasoning to sway me off as I have officially made my early desicion.
I have rolled with the G-men and know what they are capable of and they are capable of winning this game by 17. I just dont see it. I see them being tired as Rebal has pointed out. They been having to win and going to Green Bay is one thing but Id be willing they gave it all they got. Now they have to travel to the west where its gonna be wet and sloppy. The Giants and Eli depend on the big play to win games. If they dont get the big play I highly doubt they score more than 17-20. Going backwards, the Giants will need to be able to run the ball and set up play action to even set up the big play. I see Niners completely shutting down the run game in this one. To start Giants run game has not been good this year and now they go up against the best. Then you have the weather playing a major factor and slowing em down even more. No run game means no play action, no play action means no big play, no big play means Eli in the pocket and one dimensional and Niners will bring pressure and blitzes and goodnight sweetheart Giants are toast. So thats half the game, I see advantage Niners defense.
Other side of the ball, I just dont know what to expect. Before last week I thought Alex Smith was a fraud. I didnt know he was capable of looking just as good as Drew Brees himself. But I have to keep an open mind to that this kid can play with the talent around him. I 100% bet the Saints because of the one key factor Alex Smith. Once again I find myself in the same situation. The key factor Alex Smith. Lets be real the Niners can run the ball and will run the ball on the Giants. The Giants defense have been good but nothing special this year. I expect a Niners team that will continue to force and gain 3-5 yards per rush. Which will result in a slow paced game and will keep the Giants offense off the field and will wear down Giants defense. This will make it so not only will Alex Smith not need to be as clutch as last week but he will have better opportunities as San Fran will show the G-men how play action is suppose to look on this Sunday.
Just my thoughts for now, I will be keeping an open mind as I see this as a very good and difficult matchup to figure out.

Excellent point! Special teams: HUGE advantage Niners! Akers over Tynes all day any day. This game not only could come down to a long field goal but it probably will and Huge advantage niners.

You bring up a great point. Yes I 100% agree. But does anyone realize how good they where against the Packers. If Packers could just stop a few of those early that could have been a much different game. I wont take it away from Eli but you cant depend on Eli making these plays against Niners!
