NYG vs 49ers... Lets talk this out...

One thing that's bothering me about the Giants now is how much they've been talking. There's a fine line between confidence and cockiness... It may seem small to others, but it's almost making me not want to touch them. I don't have anything locked in yet..

For what it is/isn't worth, Eli is also 4-1 on the road in playoffs.

what i find interesting about Giants backers is how quickly they've forgotten just 4 weeks ago they played 2 teams with GOOD defenses and lost both games, Redskins and Jets... Granted NYG's offense have been hot, but look at what they've been playing against getting into this game... The Cowboys defense has been mess, ATL was what everyone knew they were a paper tiger, and green bay who's defense is just embarrassing... this is going to be a physical defensive game and field position is going to play a major part in it, sometimes punting is winning... Flipping field position will be big and points will be hard to come by so FGs will be big... Akers and Lee are 2 of the best in the league... The special teams is going to be THE deciding factor in this game and that is why I'll be on the 49ers... .

was wrong they beat the jets but i was meaning to write was how manning played... he was 9-22 with 1 td and 1 int... Against wash eli threw 3 picks...

it will be a close game and i think it will go under. just take the points and giants. last time they beat giants 27-20. this time it will be different. it will probably be 19-17 that's my final score. it could be 49ers winning or giants.

I strongly agree and will add.  I view the NIners win against Saints a big deal.  A much bigger deal than the Giants win over Green Bay only because of the way both Green Bay and Saints played.

The Giants beat the cowboys and have never looked back.  This reminds me of 2007 all over again.  The giants had to win every game on the road that year, and they did too.  And i think they will do the same thing this year.  the 49ers are a quality team that i respect Immensely but i believe the Giants have the edge in many areas.  Playing on the road is the best thing for the giants as they are much more focused when playing away from the friendly confines of Gotham.  I believe the real disparity in the teams is at qb.  Eli has been there and done that.  He is a proven winner.  We have to look no further than 4 years ago to marvel in what he accomplished.  The front 7 of the Giants is the best in the business.  Mr. Smith will falter at times and the giants will capitalize on those mistakes.  The 49ers beat the giants in week 10 by a score of 27-20.  the giants will return the favor and cover the +2 and 1/2 with an outright win of 30-20.  GGGGGGG Men!!!  BIG BLUE WRECKING CREW

Pierre Thomas was the 7th starting RB to leave the game do to injury against this squad.  That is tough, and tough to ignore.  They dont tackle you they break your dome.

It's a tough call, and honestly i cannot wait for sunday night to watch these 2 go at it for the right to play in the SB this shit is so funny to me a 13-3 record half of the wins i say came the old fashioned way(and the sf fans know it)  while the giants are playing better than anyone in the league right know and there is nothing else to yap about..

The only good thing about the niners is that Jim harbaugh has a good chance of winning the Trophy for the Coach of the year .44-27 Haaahahahaha

The Niners win over the Saints would have been a bigger deal if they had won the game down in New Orleans. Everyone knows NO is not the same team on the road, and it showed. GB had a nice home win streak going, are the defending SB champs, had the best regular season record, and were the "team to beat" going into the playoffs so IMO the Giants win over GB was a bigger deal.

Edge in MANY areas??

QB- NYG
RB- Slight edge 9ers
WRS- NYG
TE- 9ers
OL- Push, NYG better at pass protection, 9ers better at running
DL- Slight edge NYG, but even at worst
LBs- 9ers
Secondary- 9ers
Special teams- 9ers
coaching- coughlin has experience but Harbaugh is not chopped liver and definitely not scared.. slight edge NYG just from an experience standpoint.

saying the Giants front 7 is better than the 9ers is laughable. The DLs are about even but the 9ers LB are WAY better than anything the NYG have.

Well said!!  AND...you don't hear anymore that this Niner defense is a finesse defense like during the Montana era.  Which btw didn't do so bad then either!

I can give hell to people that shit their pants because I am one of them. Crapped my pants just last week while drivin home from Benihana (too much ginger dipping sauce I think).

By the way, 9ers win 23-21 in another classic.

Close well played game, 9ers win the turn-over battle by 1 and win the field position battle due to Andy Lee's leg and win it with a David Akers Field Goal.
