Guys I know this is not the right forum to post this. But nfl forum is the only one I go on. So here it goes. I have Obama to win the election to $10,000 at -140. I put it in July lol.

Now this bullshit Pitt game just dropped me in the hole $5,000. What do you thin should I hedge and just take the juice. Cuz Obama is -240 now. Thoughts?

If he's -240 he will be President....

This isn't sports. Romney can't intercept a pass or hit a walk off homer. It's -240 for a reason. Another 4 yrs w/ Obama

America is too smart to vote for a guy like Romney. They realize he will take care of the rich, cut taxes for them, and F UP the middle class. It's the republican way.

Don't hedge your bet. No way Willard wins.

Although I may be a poor sports capper... Please understand that Obama will win a second as bad as he is perceived to be doing.

In regards to the debates... Obama is one of the greatest public speakers of all time. Politicians live day in day out speaking in front of a crowd and practice speeches, gestures, and subtle movements in the game of politics. If you saw the first debate you will notice a lot of people talking about how it wasn't the 2008 Obama and he came out passive. Romney came off strong and threw facts (that fact-checker disproved) while Obama just took it.

I would put my money that losing the first debate is a ploy. Obama's trump card is playing as the underdog. If he came out firing and mouthing off about the 47% Romney comments he will start off as a high and go down from there.

The first debate is a month and three days before the elections. Prior to the first debate Obama was leading 48 to 44 with in polls. Now they are about even with Romney leading.

The second debate hurt the Republican party which I won't get too much into because most Americans are focused on 1 and 3.

The third debate happens two weeks prior to November 6th. By then first debate's hype is gonna die down and won't even matter after the third debate. Obama is going to come off strong and expose Romney who runs on a similar platform.

On top of that Obama has more campaign money. Ask anyone running for anything what happens when the money runs dry.

You gotta understand that the Presidential Election falls on Electoral Votes while popular Votes are used to "determine ties".

Electoral Voters consist of about 500 people who the public elect into office such as senators, house representatives, and members of Congress.

The only Romney wins is if the Republicans rig the votes. I personally don't care who wins. Just bring the job market back so my kids don't make me broke by the time they're 35.

Agreed that it isn't the right forum for this but given your question as someone who follows politics well I would like to answer, I am very confident that Obama is going to win this election.

National polls don't mean squat in the scheme of things. Most voters have made up their minds (I live in a swing state and we have had non-stop ads for like 6 months now) so while the debates matter there aren't enough undecided voters to sway I think. The states that are being contested by both sides resemble the 2008 election map. For example in 2004 Virginia, Colorado and North Carolina were never really seen as truly competitive and were solidly Republican. In 2008 Obama won all of them. In 2012 all 3 are being heavily contested by both sides with the average of polls pointing to a slight Obama advantage in VA and CO with a small Romney lead in North Carolina. The election is being played in states that Romney should have locked up and he isn't expanding the map by going after fringe blue states like Michigan, New Mexico, Minnesota and Pennsylvania that Bush went after in 2004. Can Romney can run the table on all swing states? Possible but highly unlikely. Also no Republican has ever won the White House without winning Ohio. Romney is getting crushed there and early voting is going on now so a lead translates into actual votes. Don't bet against Obama IMO.

I personally don't care who wins either. Except for the fact that I have 10k riding in Obama so now I'd prefer he win. Lol but with that said I just think Romney is another bush. I don't mind republican but not him. I think John McCain was a good guy that had bad luck running in the same year as Obama last time. He honestly looked like a guy that cared. ( he also screwed up by pickin nailin Pailin.) I think if he picked a lady like Jill Stewart would have been much better. But too bad ass Green Party lol.

Romney is the biggest POS to run in a long time. The scumbag has 10 funds earning him dividends to his cayman accounts from Chinese firms that even just today shut down yet another plant here in the US and shipped the jobs overseas. You dont have to like Obama, but how can anyone vote for Romney is beyond me....I wont even discuss his plans that make W Bush look like Isaac Newton in comparison

So a rich guy that wanted to get richer AND keep his money is now considered a scumbag?

If that was me I would do the everything I could to get as much money as I could and so would everyone else. Stop lying to yourself.

What else is wrong with Romney? What could he possibly do wrong to make Obama look like the savior? Ruin the economy? Get us further into debt? Lie about getting our troops home? Lie about his origins? Use his race as the major reason he bacame president? Oh, wait.....Obama already did all of those things......
