Calvin Johnson is my vote
Honorable mention to Rice, Moss, and TO.
It comes down to what we are talking about. Who simply makes the catch? Or is it who runs the best route, gets the most speration, etc.
Moss always lacked heart to me. All the tools in the book. Freakish athlete. Ran like a gazelle. However I was at almost every game when he was with the Raiders and it was then some of the luster started to fade. When watching live, and seeing the whole field, it became clear that he took plays off and often gave partial effort.
Rice was a great route runner with great hands. He didn't have all the physical gifts of some of those other guys but he's the GOAT for a reason.
TO was very underrated. A physical specimen, he had good height, good speed, great hands, and was as powerful as any WR in history. He also routinely went across the middle, and was a great run blocker. That's not what we're talking about though, is it?
For their combination of route running, power, speed, size and catch radius on top of both having huge hearts, I have to go with Megatron or Fitzgerald.
To be fair, I am 40 and I am only judging players I have been able to watch extensively. Hopefully some of the OGs drop in and name some of the past greats.

I'm taking the question as who you got last play of the game,and you gotta depend on this guy doing everything he can to be the one that comes down will the ball.There's so many it's hard to even narrow it down,off the top of my head I'd go with Lynn Swann or Michael Irvin.

Honorable mention Fred Biletnikoff,by far definitely not the fastest or athletic receiver,but it seemed like if he was able to touch the ball,he was coming down with it.

Lance Alworth or Julian Edelman. Not high up on total receiving yards although I do not recall these 2 players dropping many passes. Also, both were excellent route runners.

Alworth has to be in the top 3 imo

I found him m because he was in the replay of the Bo Jackson vs Seahawks Monday nighter and caught a TD pass and the Announcers talked about his TD ratio

@gotime
definitely-Bambi and Edelman were almost automatic-ran great routes and rarely a drop--throw in Rice and Lynn Swann and that is my list....
