You have these big players betting one side, early on, driving the line in that direction, then they come back in and load up on the other side. So it complicates the simple theory that if the line is moving one way, and the public is doing the opposite, it's because the sharps are on that side. Anyway, I found it to be a lot work for a small return. Just take a look at Sports Insights site to see what their record is of playing these line moves.

Of course Vegas knows more than we know. Line movements which are spot on majority of the time tell you that.

Looking at Celtics for a play tonight...67% are on the Knicks but line moved from -6.5 to -6... looks like a good reverse line play

On the Celts for 1 unit...

79% of the betting public are on Lakers under, but lines has moves from 220 to 221...

definite early leans looking at early line moves... Pats, pats under, g bay under... But, WAY too early to call... won't have plays until Fri/Sat... will definitely post as early as I can.

Ok thanks trinimike.   Pats at 9.5 seems like Vegas is begging for pats money, hence a texans cover?  Just my thoughts.  They keep if off the key number of 10 for a reason?

I do think 9.5 is one of those key #'s, but I'm trying to keep picks on this thread based soley on reverse line movements... personally I like the Pats

So right now 84% on Packers OVER and the total has dropped from 46 to 45.

  Also 68% on Patriots OVER and total has dropped from 49 to 47.5
71% on pats - and has dropped from 10 to 9.

  Both of those would qualify for RLM at the current % of $ from public no?

absolutely... but the real big $ sharp side bets don't really come in until a few hours or even minutes before the game. but those are definately the games I have my eye on and exactly for those reasons
