@suuma - most of what you said is true about me. I may be delusional, crazy, moronic, mentally disabled - whatever you wish to call it. I couldn't cap a game if my life depended on it. That's why I rely on heavy fade materials like yourself. So far I'm even money. LeagueCapper has been so kind to me. I'm up about 20 units fading him.
I'm on the fade train here as well. Though my 2* plays were on the Skins and Niners this week, I should have made a 3* play on the Bears upon seeing this thread.
Suuma - you do a nice job of pointing out some of the more obvious factors in games, which certainly is of some use. But as someone else mentioned, there is more to each game than that. It's a week to week league in the NFL.
Nonetheless, I have a handful of casual bettors that I talk to regularly; like yourself, I will be utilizing their opinions to gauge public sentiments and help highlight contrarian value plays for the week.
Keep up the good work mate.

Guess what, all these 'faders' are just guys who have lost so much money they hate to see anyone win. They are hating on Suuma because he can actually write intelligently and is well liked, and they are jealous.
You can cap games right and still lose on one bounce of the ball. Which is why you should only bet a small % of your bankroll so you can absorb those really annoying losses whenever they hit (and they can sometimes hit in bunches) and eventually they will even out and you will hit a few lucky ones where you picked the wrong side and still cashed.
Anyone who gloats over someone else losing is always a bigger loser who can't pick a winner ao the next best thing is laughing at a guy who had a losing day. I think Suuma said he only bets like 3% bank per bet which is smart because there are ALWAYS more games. A few losing days isn,'t gonna bother a guy like that or make him go broke.
So all you faders, just chill. We all know that you can't pick for crap and have probably gone broke countless times. Your posts on here are the equivalent of a homeless bum laughing at someone whose a week late with the rent.

Yesterday I posted in multiple threads about my 49ers 2* play. Additionally, luckily, I don't handicap for a living, it is simply a side hobby like the overwhelming majority here.
Anyway, here's my unsexy pick for tonight that I never post. Feel free to leave feedback:

Agree that suuma is a well disciplined bettor and knows his sport. However he COMPLETELY disregards the fact that NFL is a business (NOT sport) with strong ties to Vegas/bookies and at the end of the day they make money - while we lose.
Suuma knows his NFL that's for sure. I've never seen such insight into games from a layperson. However betting money on a team just because "they are or should play better than the other team" is same as burning cash for campfire.

LOL stfu over here with the NFL being a business etc etc. Ya'll are talking about Suuma like he wasn't 2-2-1.
That's not bad at all. It's unfortunate that he was big on KC, if you're going big you should be on a team that bleeds consistency vs. a team who breeds victory. Yesterday's obvious big play was Cowboys v. Pats.
Besides, if you're going to go big I would wait until a live play and do it on a game where you were 100% sure that the team you bet on has shown up.
However, shucking all of that I am big on the Chargers, my first three Unit play of the season. In fact, it is my only play more than 1 unit this season. Confident.

btw, I was on Cowboys +10 small yesterday. Of course I saw what was happening and took U 46.5 halfway through the first quarter at -110.
Unfortunately I can't put my live hedges on my public record, so I'm 4-6 publicly for the week.. Hence my rationale for the 3 unit public play, to get me back to 7-6 hopefully. If not I'll be 4-9 for my first losing public week of the season including 4 Weeks of Preseason.

Fellas if Tony Romo plays and gets injured early in the 3rd quarter, you wouldn't make excuses for why Dallas had a big lead and lost
Same thing happened with KC. Charles got injured, before he got injured it looked like KC was going up 21, game over cover spread. No missed fg and momentum change
And if KC wins, nothing but praise.
Luck is a part of the game.
Do me a favor and predict the next game. Or, fade away, before the game (not after the game ends).
On to next week.

We'll see what the math calls for. Today, my model predicted the total within .8 of a point (refer to https://www.covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmessage.aspx?spt=21&sub=102175075).

Suuma, please do me a favor and do not dignify any of these negative comments relative to your picks by responding to them. Just keep doing what your doing and perhaps they will go back to Phixers thread. Phixers thread is ruined because you have to read through all the bull chit before you can find the man's picks. IMO he somewhat encourages the bs by being just as rude and vicious back to them. It's ridiculous. Having said that I am not a conspiracy theorist so I take a lot of what Phixers says with a grain assault but your approach I align with 100%. Let the trolls do their thing and when we get on a roll we'll be the last to laugh all the way to the bank.
