Yea Carolina is the best play on the board... Matt Cassell starting for the 2nd straight game... and he played decent last game... I know how this movie ends!

This is my favorite NFL card so far... the one other game I think can be thrown into the mix is Dallas... they should roll Washington, but the extra week off is a slight cause for concern... if I do well Saturday and Sunday I will probably add it, since it's a night game...

Carolina should be better then 1 and 3 with that Defense of course the offense has taken a step back with Cam Newton this year..GL

I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of this team... I do believe they are middle-of-the-road, which is better than 1-3 would suggest... but there are just some good angles in this game that I can't overlook... not the least of which include:

1) Matt Cassel starting his 2nd game, after having a decent game in his last outing... Matt Cassel is not a coin, and therefore his odds of having a good game is NOT independent of the fact that he is coming off of a good game... Cassel is a crap QB, and if I get to bet against him, because people are putting stock in his "decent" game against an abysmal Steelers team... I'll take it!

2) The fact the Vikings are coming off that game in London doesn't help them, even though they get the extra week off... teams hate that trip, and often take a game to recover...

3) There is a system someone posted last week about 1-3 road teams as a dog... can't remember the full system, but Carolina fits it this week... 


It's not my favorite play, but it is a game where you can't really make a case for the Vikings, from a betting perspective...



The other game I didn't mention is Cincy - Buffalo... IF Tuel starts for the Bills, bet Cincy!  I know I will...

Tuel is not starting for the Bills.  It was announced early in the week that Thad Lewis is starting.



What's your reasoning for saying Tennessee is going to get killed?    Fitzpatrick?    That team was pretty solid before he got hurt weren't they?

Thanks for the info on Lewis for the Bills... although I'm still seeing mixed reports... as of yesterday, it seemed to still be up in the air... regardless, I won't bet that game until I know for sure...


Reasoning for Seattle isn't complicated... Seattle's defense is friggin ridiculous!  Especially at home... Titans will take a beating!  Seattle is one of the most physically brutal teams I have seen in my 30+ years following the NFL... not just on defense, but on offense...

Here's one BIG problem... one of the big keys to beating Seattle is the WR position... you MUST have at least 2, and probably 3 very good WRs (like the Colts do)... because if you do not, you can forget about throwing the ball... period!

Sherman will shut down the best WR for Tennessee, and they simply have no impressive depth at that position... Titans become one-dimensional..

Meanwhile, the Seattle offense is as balanced as balanced can be, with one of the best game-managers in the NFL...


And, oh yea... they are coming off of a loss... and that will MOST LIKELY be the only game they lose the rest of the year, with the possible exception of the playoffs...

Only SF will be favored against them for the rest of the season (baring significant injuries), and Seattle will be favored by DD in all of their home games, with the possible exception of New Orleans... and they will cover the majority of those home games...

I would think in light of the days events - this would become a no play for most - or does AP pull a Favre ala Monday night years ago?

Panthers were my favorite play earlier in the week, but Seattle has taken over that role... I'm not sure what to make of AD's situation... I imagine he will be running with a great deal of anger this weekend...

IMO, this can't really help Carolina backers, but it could hurt it...

Carolina will lose outright. They are going to walk in to Minnesota and win after AP's son just died? Doubt that.

Detroit will lose outright. They cant beat Cleveland's D.

Texas might cover...but they suck.

The only thing Locker has done much better this year is INT, he has throw 0.

His ave per pass has fallen by .3.

Locker last season threw 3.4% INT's, this season 0% even though he has INT's dropped by defensive backs.

Fitz is a high INT thrower relative to other good QB's. 3.6% carrear, about the same as Locker last year, not this year.

I reported this last week VS KC and Fitz went out and threw 2 INT's at home.

Expect more of the same this week against an angry Seattle defense.......................................

BTW Kansas State covered as Baylor won by 10.  Exactly as I said they would.
