Primetime: you are pretty good smelling upsets and setup games... I smell set up on this Thursdays NFL game NE at Detroit. Is the right pick on Detroit, to cover but not Win? or should i just stay away from this game?

I remember few week ago you took Clev over NE and you were right!

I am from Detroit and I know the team has been AWFUL since God knows when but in this case I am rolling with Detroit and the points at home.

My reasoning may not be smart but it is simple.

I am 33 years old and I can not remember the last time the lions were in a PRIMETIME game besides their annual Turkey Day shoot. Monday Night football, I believe was last played showing the Lions when I was 20.. I pick them to show up and possibly win straight up in this game, Calvin should have a field day with NE secondary and I predict a final score of 35-31..

Remember these aren't the same Lions as we are all used to, They compete every game!!

what the hell are you talkin bout..didn't they play last thanksgiving against the cowboys or the year before that?  jahvid best's turf toe is progressively gettin worse. all they have is calvin johnson with no run game that got them started in the beginning of the season...i see detroits offense slowing down

What don't you understand about me saying their ANNUAL TURKEY DAY SHOOT?

That implies that they do it EVERY YEAR. It is their chance to try and show the new and improved Lions.

There will be no upset in the Pats/Lions game & I feel like guaranteeing you this but I will catch a lot of flack so I will just say the Lions will not smell the endzone much in this game. Patriots 30-10 final

New & improved team usually means the team wins games. They are 1-9 SU, doesnt look like much improvement bt any means & their ATS record is good at 7-3 but they will regress to the mean ATS & the regression starts on Thanksgiving as they will be 7-4 ATS after the game.

Primetime I am from Michigan. Trust me, this is the the NEW and IMPROVED Lions for us...

 

We are just happy to put a team on the field that can even score or not get ran off the field by the end of the first half..

And by stating I am from Michigan to trust me....It was merely stating the fact that I know it is an improved team in our eyes..

We watch them every Sunday and they are a team putting forth effort. That will suffice for the rest of the season for us, so we call that IMPROVED.

Now next year we won't be so forgiving about losing close games, we will be wanting the victory pulled out when we are in those types of games.

I may just be going with my gut here, but I don't think so. For the most part I stay away from Lions games for that reason. I don't want to be biased or to maybe be putting my heart in it a bit too much.

(Patriots -6.5 at Lions)  Patriots are sitting at 8-2 tied with the Jets & looking to take 1st place just for a few hours until the Jets blow out the Bengals. The patriots had a 31-14 lead against Mannings Colts but Manning catching points on the road is a deadly combination for bettors betting against him. The Pats relinquished their 17 point lead & barely came away with a 3 point victory. After that dismal defensive showing by the Pats, Belichick will have his defense clicking on all cylinders on this prime time game on turkey day. Belichick loves embarrassing poor teams on national tv & this game will be no different.

I keep reading how this lions team is an improvement from other years & yes, they have been playing better but at 1-9 SU, I just dont see it. Their spread numbers are a different story as you can see from their 7-3 ATS record but regression to the mean will over see this & the Lions ATS record will come back to reality starting with this game.

I will not have a wager the size you are putting up on this game, so I honestly say..I hope you are right. I do not wish to see Vegas get rich off of another mans hard earned money, I am just going with what maybe a gut feeling.
