Every professional athlete out there is promising the same thing... Niners, Chiefs and all those other teams who will be watching from home come Sunday....soccer stars, NBA bretheren, MLB etc.... all the same, no "edge" here with this angle.

Right on buddy. If the game didn’t get postponed tonight, I would of been all in on Lakers spread and moneyline. At minimum 5 units each. The classic Scal “honoring the dead” angle. Friday is tricky, not sure what to do now - if anything.

Steve Atwater induction into HOF. He was number 27. Another 27 on SB eve.
Notice all the Denver connections with the niners. Lynch, Shanahan, = SF wins

I have had zero luck in the NBA. It was a disgusting display by the Lakers. Lesser Laker teams, teams with losing records, have won and covered when honoring the dead; Jerry Buss, Chick Hearn, etc. Of course, Kobe was involved in those games, and unlike LBJ he is a killer. It’s unfathomable to me that they lost to a one-man-team in the Blazers. In the process they made Whiteside look like the second coming of Scott Wedman, who went 11-11 in the Finals against LA in 1985. Whiteside was 13-14. Simply incredible. Lakers had 60 rebounds to the Blazers 40. They had 18 offensive rebounds but could not do anything right as they turned the ball over 18 times. I really do blame LBJ. He simply choked as he usually does in the spotlight. The bench players, seeing him choke, choked as well. Only Davis showed up. The coach also blew it with his stupid rotations. Said he wanted to give everyone an opportunity to contribute. Well, you should only do that when leading, not with the game in balance. Contrast that with last night when lbj played 10 first quarter minutes and Davis 12! They got the lead and never looked back.
Anyway, I lost a ton as well and if the Niners lose today you may not hear from for a long, long time. But, I’ll leave you with this. Every f u k I n time I backed an NBA team this year and that team lost (think NO) they went on a nice streak soon after. The Lakers will not lose another game until the all-star break. I guarantee it. They are playing Western foes and will win all those games by dd. Most teams let down near the all star break but the Lakers, because of Bryant’s death, will pick it up. Basketball will be their salvation for the next couple of weeks. And they will head into the all star-break on winning note, demolishing their opponents along the way. Next opponent, Spurs on a back to back in a tnt game. Then the Rockets on Thursday in another tnt again. And on and on until they finish in Denver in big revenge spot.
