@DoubleUp4Life “Super Bowl -BUFFALO beats Washington” I’m a hug WFT fan. Love this year’s team…playoff sleeper for sure. Would love to see this ‘91 SB rematch.
Would Love to see a superbowl 26 rematch BROTHER ..
The 1991 BILLS team played the 2nd easiest schedule % in the last 50 years..Were lucky to get a soft Chiefs team at home in the playoffs with Mark Vlasoc throwing ints ...The following week they should have lost to the Broncos but Treadwell missed 3 FGS ..Bill's got a lucky 2nd half int for a TD . ...Broncos were a gift +11, ONLY losing 10-7 .( locally Denver was +14)
WFT was a $$$ here locally at -3 as early as the friday before the game ..While the actual line was WFT -7/49 ...6 hours before kickoff you could get the WFT Money line at -110 ...
My HS GF probably saved my life that day as just the two is us watched the game.. Probably would have gotten my face kicked in rooting for the BILLS to LOSE anywhere else around WNY ..
That BS carnival barking defensive line coach Chuck Dickerson gave GIBBS all the bulletin board material he needed ..
Before Super Bowl XXVI, Dickerson mocked the famed offensive line, "The Hogs", in a television interview. Dickerson said Redskins tackle Joe Jacoby was "a Neanderthal -- he slobbers a lot, he probably kicks dogs in his neighborhood." He also said tackle Jim Lachey "has bad breath. Players will fall down without him even touching them.
Gibbs got his hands on some tapes of Dickerson and played them at a team meeting on the night before the game, and by all accounts it was a factor in the WFT' 37–24 thumping of the Bills. Head coach Marv Levy later described the interview as "the girder that brought down the building." Levy fired Dickerson three days after the game.

Bills/Chiefs wins the SB. Rams or Bucs from the NFC. Who stays the healthiest? Nobody knows that. Based on that I reserve the right to change my pick. But I will likely have a future on Buffalo and maybe KC too. Any chance the Lightning are putting an NFL team together? 2 futures in a row on them.

Was in HS in ‘91…so wasn’t exposed to sports betting. Kinda surprised WFT was such a short line considering they beat plenty of teams by an avg of 20+ points during reg season. Also went to a few WFT game rallies a couple years ago in AZ, SF, SD and got to meet Rypien & Gary Clark personally …some real class act guys.
Rooting BIG TIME for a Bills /WFT Super Bowl in LA this year
@benhogan76
WFT is on a 30 year drought w/ QB’s…saw a glimpse of hope w/ RG3. Not gonna jump the gun, but I think Fitzmagic has the tools around him to succeed with this team. Team was pretty good LY considering….Smith played on one leg, & his playoff backup was a guy who’s hasn’t played in the league in a couple years. Adding a couple free agent pieces to an already talented team has some real good signs they’ll go far.

Don't be shocked if Heinickie is the starter week 1 ..Sure it was only one game , but he looked far better than any other QB that faced the Buccaneers defense in the playoffs .. IMO this is the perfect spot for Firzmagic ..Odds are he gets some PT as well ..Both should be a massive upgrade over what WFT had last year..
I think the WFT might have the best defense in the league ...They were great last year , and now add a true #1 CB in William Jackson , drafted a tackling machine LB in the first round...More CB depth in the 3rd .
Curtis Samuel should make the offense much better
Sure they're a long shot at +2200 to win the conference, but it's not like the NFC east is a tough division ..Anything could happen in the playoffs .

Meet Rypien years ago at a sports card show ..He was a class act ...He took zero credit for the win , gave all the credit to the coaching staff, and it sounded like every other player on the roster...
No doubt the WFT should have been favored by 13+ that day ..The score doesnt do the domination justice...Buffalo added 2 meaningless TDS in the 4th quarter to end 37-24 ...

Hey DoubleUp,
Almost laughed out loud...nice line (unintended?): Perfect spot for FitzMagic...odds are he gets some playing time as well. Huh?!?!
We all know the "Legend of Taylor Heinicke"...it's been spread far and wide. Happy for the kid (signed in week 14) but he gets thrown into the first playoff game WFT's had in how many years on short notice since Alex Smith couldn't go. Probably the best way to get into your first playoff game so he didn't have all week to realize where he was and what he was trying to do. He used his legs and his arm to create his own magic, but pretty sure the jury is still out; he's not a Pro Bowler yet.
Here's the other line that kinda stuck in my craw...lol...just kidding, but serious about giving Alex Smith some love, or at least some respect: "massive upgrade over what WFT had last year". Maybe a little memory lane time lol...
Alex Smith had the WFT at the top of the NFC East in 2018 @ 6-3 before he almost lost his leg @ Houston. Those 6 wins included @ Arizona, home vs Green Bay, Carolina, Dallas, @ NYGiants, and @ Tampa Bay in week 10. Week 11 was the gruesome play. (PS - Smith took KC to the playoffs in 2017 as their starter.)
So 2019 he was retired in everybody's eyes...and rightly so.
2020 Dwayne Haskins couldn't get it done, and Kyle Allen was done in week 5 (concussion). So, back from the junkyard after finding a slightly used right leg, Smith gets thrown into the game right before halftime after Kyle Allen's injury, but he survived the LA Rams and 6 sacks. His next 2 games were both 3-point losses as the WFT D gave up 23 and 30 points to the Giants and the Lions, though Smith threw for 325 and 390. How could anybody ask for more?
But Smith found his mojo and rattled off 4 straight wins, including beating the Steelers on MNF! Smith developed calf problems and WFT lost 2 straight (Haskins started/played week 15, Haskins and Heinicke [12/19 for 137] week 16) before Smith came back in week 17 and beat the Eagles to get WFT into the playoffs.
So c'mon DU...c'mon man lol...at least some respect for what Smith did --- there will be no massive upgrade in 2021 from 2020's amazing story.
Cheers

Brother i think you're giving Alex Smith too much credit ..He was a great human interest story , but not a good QB
His QB RATING was a HORRIBLE 34.8 , throwing 6 TDS and 8 INTS ...
34.8 is Nathan Peterman BAD
So yes I believe Fitzmagic and Heinickie will be a massive upgrade over a 34.8 QBR ...
ONLY TIME will TELL Brother

@DoubleUp4Life Okay then...all that matters is the QBR...have it your way, brother lol. Starting 6 games and going 5-1, including saving Riverboat Ron's and WFT's bacon in week 17 and getting them into the playoffs. Sometimes the play on the field is the thing; not the stats. No worries...it's all good. Cheers
Please dont take offense to our disagreement on Smith ..
Just think if he was any good, WFT would've resigned him...

Geez DoubleUp, I hate bust balloons here, but come on now, be real! Buffalo beating Cleveland in the Playoffs? and Buffalo vs Washington in the SB ? It's wishful thinking my friend. I can't see it! Allen, the kid, needs 5 more years at the helm. And Washington, with the #1 defense will probably win the division but it won't be enough. Not with Fitzpatrick calling signals.

Fantastic to hear from the GREAT DON JUAN
Completely understand why most would pick the chalks ( Chiefs , Bucs , Pack( with Rodgers ) Rams etc ) , they're probably all capable of going to and winning the Superbowl...
I do however disagree about Josh Allen ..BILLS went 15-4 and were one game away from the Bowl ..Despite have almost zero running game ( partially by design ) , and getting hit hard by injuries on defense and losing their anchor DT to a Covid opt out ...
I gave the BILLS a 1% chance of resigning Milano , and the 2 starting Offesive linemen entering Free agency, , somehow They did it!!! ...Believe they pulled off a near miracle in today's NFL getting several stars including Diggs to rework their contracts to free up space ... They added much needed depth on the O Line and at LB through free agency and the draft ..WR Utility man Isiah McKenzie signed for peanuts , as did QB Mitch Trubisky ( perfect fit for BILLS offense ) ...While grading the draft is almost useless for 3+ years I LOVE that they drafted back to back pass rushers in rounds 1 and 2 ( their biggest weakness last year) ..
On paper Buffalo has one of the 8 easiest schedules in the league..Oddsmakers currently have them favorite in 14 of the 17 games ..( Only a dog at KC +4 , at TB +4 , and at TENN +1 ) ...
Still cant believe the Ravens traded the Chiefs a starting OT
I could be way off on the Washington Football team ....However I think they'll be able to play with anyone this season ...The offense should be much better adding Samuel , while having 2 QB'S that appear better than Alex Smith ( certainly Haskins lol) ...The defense added a true #1 CB , and a solid LB in the first round ..
Who is your pick to meet in the Superbowl and Championsho games
