Pens played their asses off

MORE like the Pens played LIKE asses  the first three games. they let the Flyers bait then into taking dumb penalties, then they lost their composure and then they lost the games.

they played well winning games 4 and 5 BUT, esp Fleury, returned to that first three form today @ Philadelphia

and as for Giroux vs Crosby, at least for this series the stats speak for themselves.

you MAY not be too far off. Islanders have a LOAD of young talent and seem to be going in the right direction. at least your management isn't doing "panic trades" like the Maple Leafs recently or the Rangers chasing every over priced backside of their career free agent before the salary cap

Xcountry the Pens are going to have to get a couple solid "stay at home" D-men and a couple of Gary Roberts style big banger forwards with skill. also desperately need a COMPETENT backup to Fleury for when he's in one of his "Skunk' cycles. Johnson or Theissen are sure not the answer.

I think the Caps blew their chance today @ home. B's probably win game 7and get Ottawa IF the Sens knock off the Rangers. that should be a "pass thru" to the Eastern finals IF the  regular season proves anything.

season series results sure worked to form with my Pennies vs the Flyers 

Love how people get carried away with the moment...Giroux has played more games this season than crosby has in the past 2 seasons combined so it is an unfair comparison. Obviously Giroux is the more effective player right now but if Crosby stays healthy he has a greater potential than giroux and has shown it in the past.
