WIN -1 ½ +145 This is a Vancouver team that has lost by the puck-line quite a lot. When they lose, they generally crash and burn by multiple goals. So, the first thing you have to ask yourself is this: Will they win today in Winnipeg with Andres Nilsson playing against Conner Hellebuyck? Despite the way my picks have been going I’ll still stick with “I’d be surprised.” My money is, quite literally, on Winnipeg and as such also the puck line. When the Canucks lose, their losses have been by the puck line 19 of 28 losses for 67.8% Hellebuyck is 16-1 at home this season with a .928 Save % and 2.17 GAA. match that up with Nilsson's .901 and 3.57 backed by the 26th ranked offense in the league and the puck line, regardless of outcome, is the bet to be on for this game.
NYR/LAK under 5 ½ -120 Two struggling teams. The Kings have now lost 6-straight and the offense has gone south…or east or north, but it hasn’t been out west with the team. They’ve only produced 11 goals on this slide which is 1.83 per game (all regulation losses as well). Luckily for L.A. they still sit atop the league with fewest goals allowed. Under has hit in their last 3 because of this. If the Kings want to snap this streak there is almost no better team to stifle on home ice than my Blue shirts. This Rangers team just looks listless. Completely shut down in Colorado and with the injuries to Kreider and Shattenkirk, they now have to deal with potentially not having Grabner and Hayes, both of whom are day-to-day. Only positive for the Rangers this season has really be Lundqvist who has had a monster rebound season for them and is game-in and game-out their best player.
