This is where you are dead wrong. Sure, the books probably cleaned up on squares $20 parlays who threw in a -400 thinking it can't possibly lose. But do you really think the guys the books are realllly worried about (professionals, not $20 bettors on covers) layed -400 on a hockey ML?

Whether you are doing a straight bet or throwing it in a parlay, you are STILL laying 400 regardless of how you make the bet. Those who throw it in a parlay to increase odds usually don't understand this, and trust me, the books aren't worried about those guys. They'll pay them off on their wins with a smile.

It did not pay to add SJ-440 in a parlay...I tested it w a -110 team and the payout on a $500 2 team parlay was about $621....

Right. If your original straight bet paid $440, adding the -440 pays $540. I honestly think most people who throw high faves in parlays just to boost their odds don't really understand what they're doing. They see the -150 parlay odds and say "look I didn't lay 440!" Well yea, you did.

No fix. Just a dog who outplayed a heavy favorite and won the game. The problem here wasn't a fix, it was people laying -440. Wish I could be booking their action.. They are dream customers

After game all people are wise. Some comments about that we are "dream customer" for bookies are non sense. NHL is one of the hardest sport to betting. Look on soccer PSG against Anderlecht yesterday  odd was 1,1 and what happend ? The same. The Lesson is one, never trust your bets in NHL, no matters does odd is 1,2 or 4,00 everything is possible. It was must bet and don't worry SJSharks99 you will back on winning way and earn 10000 $. One mistake doesn't matter. Thanks for good analysis instead of result. It's 2 000 only , f*ck it . Thomson any soccer bettor would have stayed away from the PSG game. They won the first leg 4-0 so they did not have to win. PSG could have lost their game 3-0 yesterday and still advanced to the next round of the cup. Peng's will get people their money back today

That is NOT how the group stage of UEFA Champions League works 


That being said, laying 4.4 units to win a single unit is plain crazy. Laying 1.1 on the PL (like I did, and half a unit on APL) to win 1 is also a little out there, but it can be justified.

Dogs bark loud and they bark often in the NHL and MLB. I can't remember seing -440 EVER in MLB. Not even with a Cy Young-winner on the mound
