Billy Bowden doesn't know whether he's arthur or marther at the moment. Either he's lost all confidence in his own judgement or this referal system has thrown him out of kilter.

That last decision he gave looked like a last minute panic to me

Looks like Sheffield Shield crowd...

Glad I left the Gorilla in the cage, the game was poised to go eb & flow throughout the day. Australia has stepped up big time here, this team has been bastardised throughout the press of late. Perhaps pride & pure hard work will prove too much for the Saffers this afternoon.

South Africa seemed to give up on test cricket about a decade ago. 

Remember Australia's return there in 93' ? When Merv took a whack at some bloke in the crowd !? They were right into back then, but I noticed a real drop off when Australia went there in 2001. There were just empty grounds at every test. And it's pretty been that way ever since.

Mind you, having spoken to a couple of people who recently emigrated from South Africa, I'd be terrified to step outside my front door if I lived there.

Give Hilfenhaus his dues, reckon he more than earnt a pass mark given it was his test debut.

I'd take him any day of the week over Brett Lee (if fit) in this attack, he bowls a more consistent corridor than Lee, generates better bounce and does more with the ball.
