June Cycling: Dauphine Libere, Tour of Switzerland and Nationals

This topic will feature all the major races in June. We also have the European Nationals coming up aswell later this month. I have never bet on that before and I don't know if you can. But if you can, it's worth having a look.
 
The Dauphine odds are up.

Contador coming back from a 7 week spell. Valverde is in form and the defending champion and Cadel looks good.
 
Contador $2.25
Valverde $4.30
Evans $8
Gesink $11
Zubeldia $11
Anton $17
 
Most notably, Gerdemann is at $41. He's riding in good form and peaking well. A nice underdog there.

Valverde may be in good form and not racing next month, but Evans creams him in the the time trial. Evans will come runner up again. Though Valverde will be determined, I can't see him featuring top 2 and Evans will come runner up.
 
Gerdemann is in good form. A handy price for a handy rider.
 
Contador deserves favouritsm. Might blow them away or just fine tune form.

fuck me evans is in some fine form.

5 units Boonen @ $2.15 - should be straightforward. He only has chavanel, steegmens and vaitkus to contend with.

probably my last play on Dauphine. I'm eagerly awaiting Switzerland.

Boonen and Quick-Step don't fuck up again. If they do, they need to watch the Columbia train and follow them on how to win bunch sprints.

Do you have any link for stage 4 ITT details. I want to understand why Contador is @ 5.00 to win Stage compared to Evans @ 1.75

He's matched up versus Evans in a head to head as well.

I see Contador at 2.63 and Evans at 1.552.

Is it worth a try ?

Seriously. I hope Boonen gets banned for life for taking Cocaine. The box was probably on Cocaine last night.

Anyway I'm setting aside 2 units.

1.5 units Grabsch @ $7
.5 units Millar @ $13

Millar is in form and Garmin needs a result desperately.

Grabsch is more suited to 41km.

Nicely done with the one today Bolar .

Evans came out really strong while Contador ends up not too far behind in 5th. At those odds, it was worth a play but I did not place it.

Still think Contador can win the race?

Here are my plays for Stage 5 with an HC climb finish.
 
Valverde over Evans ( probably 2nd behind Contador ) @ 2.1 ( 2units)
 
Gesink over Basso @ 1.694 ( 2units) Basso is there for fun as you can see with his TT result
 
Bak over Le Mevel @ 1.625 ( 2 units ) Bak looked pretty good in the Giro. Mevel will beat him if a frechmen breakaway takes it.
 
I have a good feeling on Szmyd as a dog. He did pretty well last year so :
 
Over Zubeldia @ 2.48 ( 1unit )
Over Anton @ 2.75 ( 1 unit )

Holy shit ! I see everywhere. Still don't know if Bak made it to the finish line before Le Mevel but, really, who cares at this point.

Valverde not too far behind but once again, the matchups are golden with some excellent, and I mean excellent, VALUE.

Contador slipped into 3rd place so the overall is gonna be interesting to see by the end of this criterion.

Fuck, that would have been unbelievable to sweep the matchups but Le Mevel finished 17th so he was too much to handle for Bak. Another DOG that hits in the matchups. I've seen this before .

Great job overall reading this stage.

BOL to both of you and continued success capping these guys on bikes .

Something went wrong for Bak finishing 41st more than 9 minutes behind.
 
Basso is cleary there for fun, 8 min behind the winner not something we usually see from him. It might has something to do with his lack of drugs.
 
I also had Efimkin in mind.
 
Tomorrow's stage will be interesting as well. A short stage with a long climb in the middle. Going downhill to the finish but this a uphill sprint finish to help Valverde.

There's no way Contador could stay back 2 days in row.  He'll try to attack in the fisrt climb and be in the breaway group.  Don't count him out on the final uphill sprint.

Garate was in the top 5 , not too far behind. Would have been unreal to see him win at those odds.  What a battle between the top 3 in the general classification.
