A 1-2 punch to open the tour with odds fav Kittle set to take the early yellow after today. I like Kittle and he has a strong EQS lead out train, however I'll back the other German at the generous odds. Greipel has his best lead out train with him and experience counts in the TdF. Head winds are forecasted so it does look like a EQS v Lotto Soudal showdown. There are some other decent sprinters in the mix aka cavendish and Kristoff but I believe it will be either Germans to take it and I'm willing to roll the dice on Greipel.
Best of luck.

Stage 2 Is an up hill sprint that I think will be too hard for the pure sprinters so up hill punchers like Sagan, Matthews and Alaphilipe come to mind. Matthews was involved in a crash yesterday so I'm not considering him. Outside of those other two you can bet ya dollar that guys like GVA, Martin and Villermoz will flex some muscle.
I'll roll the dice and off load on a few riders Sagan $20 @$4.00 Alaphilipe $10 @$7.00 Dan Martin $5 @$21.00 Villermoz $5 @$26.00

A better day yesterday Sagan proved himself very well and didn't look troubled at all in that finish I'm at +$40 which is OK the smaller odds mean I have to place a chunk more but that's how the sprints go. Traditionally you have a few strong favs and that's what we have today. In a replay of stage 1 this is suited to the power sprinters and those 2 Germans will be headlining the odds again. With a sharp bend just before finish this is again one for the teams with better lead outs. EQS failed miserably on stage one but are better than what they showed. Lotto Sudal could have done a better job but Griepel failed to stay connected and cavendish thrived of the lotto train and took stage 1. I'm backing Greipel to get it done today. A slight rise to the finish is a better finish for him than Kittel and he at better odds. Fingers cross he doesn't lose contact with Henderson before that bend.
Stage 3 Griepel $20 @$4.50

The lead out train failed and again cav pips the win.
Odd makers aren't sure how this will pan out. Sagan is the fav followed by Griepel, then cavendish and coquard. Kittel and Mathews are next.........now ps= pure sprinter and pn= punch sprinter...... The odds go pn,ps,ps,pn,ps,pn. So we have a mix of uphill sprinters with the pure flat stage sprinters. This stage is flattish with a bumpy ride it the finish.... There are some nasty ( for the ps) bumps 8km from the finish and the finish itself is a steady 5-6% for the final 600+m. So perhaps the ps get left behind but even some ps get can sprint these gradients. Sagan will be a popular pick here and is priced at $3.5, I'll touch this with 2 others.
Stage 4
Sagan $20 @$3.50
Coquard $10 @$7.00
Matthews $10 @$15.00
Good luck all.

Wow 2 days in a row I've been on the fail end of a photo finish....this time Coquard was piped by Kittel on the line.

Today we are introduced to some elevation well some rises and dips that will atleast if ridden with oace will cause some ripples in the GC.
Does a breakaway win or will this be a bunch sprint but the punchers. the odds are generous for some breakaway artists and I'll play a few but I'll back Valverde to win this in a bunch sprint over alaphillpe.
Stage 5
Valverde $10 @$7.50
Gallopin $3 @$18
Bardet $2 @$31
Vuillermoz $2 @$41
T.Dumoulin $1 @$61
Albasini $1 @$81
Cummings $1 @$21
So a few riders for me to watch today. Was sad to only get odds of $21 on Cummings he's up as high as $40 in some places but I don't have that option.
Best of luck

A break made it yesterday and I believe it will do so again. The next few stages after this are much more challenging so I think we will see too much GC action today. I'll play a few breakaway candidates.

Stage 9 was fun to watch but sad to see how it ended.....I had $$$$ on 3 of the 10 riders in the break, however it wasn't to be my day.

stage 10 starts with a mountain so I suspect a break of climbers to be involved along with some hopeful stage collectors. On paper the stage suits a sprinter as the tail is is flat, however the start is brutal. I think the break does get roped in before the end but....... There is a nasty 7% climb for 1.5km not far from the finish that may promote a late attack. I'm putting my $$ on a sprint finish and will go with guys I think will heve the legs given the start.

Sagan $10 @$6
Coquard $4 @ $11
Greipel $3 @$18

Vichot $1 @$41

Quickly up to +200 after I bet SaganAdded small play on Nibali +2000
Unlucky mate
The break was good to me as I had gallopin and Sagan, but once push came to shove team Orica utilised there 3 riders to perfection. Nice finish from Matthews. Sadly yet again another 2nd

What a stage yesterday turned out to be....froom capitalised from the winds and rode with Sagan who won for the final 8km.
The wind is still hanging around, so much so that the finish has been shortened. This stage is a crucial stage for GC riders but now it has been shortened this may put a spanner in the works for most. 100km hr winds are what I am hearing that wound have met the riders atop of the mountain finish so it has been reduced by 6km.
Pinot was my initial pick for this stage however with the wind playing havoc and a shortened stage I think the break gets caught. Im unsure if Quintana will try go for it on this stage and am also unsure if Froom will want to go Boom again with the TT tomorrow........Porte has some time to make up and may just push himself to get back into podium contention and will be my primary pick now.
However being the 14th July the French riders tend to push themselves even harder so I'll back a few French rider who may suprise.
Porte $10 @$12
Barguil $1 @$101
Rolland $1 @$61
Pinot $5 @$10 (was at $15 earlier so look around if you can)
D Martin $3 @$21 (Irish, I know but is a solid pick as is a weak TT)
I think the break get caught. But I'm gunning on Froom and Quin to keep an eye on each other and that's why Porte and Martin have a shot.
As always Good luck
