Sac's gotta be happy with the Bears signing Jaylon Johnson to a manageable 4 year deal.

With the young talent on Chi, and some big contracts to be paid out over the next couple of years to keep them together, the right move is to draft a QB and use the savings of having an inexpensive QB to get a couple of high-end free agents.

If the Bears do this, and they draft the right QB, they will be a SB contender for the next 4-5 years

I am one of the Justin Fields believers. I think the arrow is still pointing up, but could be wrong. I don't need to be right, I need Ryan Poles to be right with what he does. He's been killing free agency, the drafts, and money management. 

The next guy they're looking at who would be a home run, is free agent free safety Xavier Mckinney.

My point was this ...

If they keep Fields they will need to pay him.

If they draft one of the QB's at #1 (Jayden Daniels?) and that QB is legit, than they can afford to keep all their young talent, and have plenty of money to spend on FA's to help the rookie QB along.

A drafted QB might not be the answer, but the same can be said for Fields. Only one of them is going to have a big contract very soon.
