Tots & Payers for the innocent folks living there,,,hoping some if not all to be spared in 2024 and beyond. 

The Patriots defense are averaging 22.5 points allowed per game, whereas the Chargers defense are allowing 23.5. So there's a 1 point differential there. 

On offense, the Chargers are averaging 24.5 ppg, whereas the Patriots are averaging 13.5 ppg. That's right there with the Giants for the league's worst.

I'm not saying it's not a good play. It's just not a foregone conclusion. Mathematically, the team isn't out of the playoff hunt. Given that they've lost more 1 score games (and typically about the amount of a FG) than any other team in the league, if they canned Staley, there might've been some motivation to go on a run. The achilles heel of the unit as a whole has been the defense. They played a good one against the Ravens. They had a couple of good defensive gems last year too. But, by and large, players playing out of position or not knowing their assignments, or simply just not executing them, has been the hallmark of Staley's tenure with the Chargers. He's got one of those "beautiful minds," I believe when it comes to understanding defenses. But he's routinely tried to fit a square peg into a round hole, waiting for the team to come around. It just ain't happening, and hasn't happened for a long time now.

Anyway, I digress.

There's been a few disappointing teams this season (the Patriots being one of them) and purely comical teams (the Chargers being one).

What the Chargers have going against them, though, is that they haven't won at Foxborough since 2005. 

Do with this information what you will. I most likely won't bet this game. But do understand that the Chargers tend to terrorize weaker QBs in the league (Zach Wilson, Tyson Bagent, Aiden O'Connell, and then falter against some of the average-to-better ones). I'd put Mac Jones in the former category.

 

 

And the unnamed team will cover the spread in the 1st round.

The Bears vs Detroit, and Commanders vs Cowboys. 

All in 2 weeks span of time.

Football is wonderful and excruciating at the same time.

Much hubaloo about Steelers 400 yards gained..yet they only put up 16. Lets see if they can better that against a Cardinals team giving up 26 per.

You know damn well it's a winner and that's why I'm betting it. Put on a happy face

The Saints have scored 3 TDs in their last 32 possessions.  2 passes from Jameis Winston and 1 from Taysom Hill with Carr on the sideline  

 

Cards in the same position as the Charge. West teams coming off bad losses and traveling to the frozen north with absolutely no motivation. WE're betting against these teams not on the opponents. Remember that Zac Wilson has wins over both Buffalo and Philly. Zona and Diego will win again but not this week. Not this week at all 

This is why Dennis Allen will be dismissed. Allen is a bum who got the job on Payton's recommendation. Derek Carr is the same guy he was all those years in Oakland. Deer in the headlights when the pressure is on.

From ESPN - The Bears have a 12-game losing streak against the NFC North, with a 16-14 decision at Detroit on Nov. 25, 2021, their last such such victory. They're 0-9 in the division in two seasons under Eberflus, who is 6-22 overall.

The Chicago media market is a lot like Bigred and his Ravens.  If they won last week, they’re going to the Super Bowl.  If they lost, they’ll never win again.

I’m not stepping in front of this trend train.

Let’s talk GOY a week and a half early shall we.  First off, what will the spread be in week 14 between cows and eagles.   Eagles continue to find ways to win and will be off of 3 straight games where they beat chiefs. Bills and Niners.  Cows will have an extra 3 days to prepare for this one and we know how dominant we are at home.   If -3 or less this is a 10u wager.
