Would you still be confident in him coming off of potentially 4 weeks of sitting with a sore shoulder? Personally I think that is Philly's death knell

This is fantastic for Thursday night. Josh Dobbs who seemingly has been in the league for 20 years will make his first career start for the Titans tonite. One website described it as a farce of a football game.

The question is : Are the Titans resting Malik Willis and will throw the kitchen sink at him in practice next week? They haven't asked him to be the dual threat that he was in college, maybe that's the plan. Or are they really running a test to see if Dobbs gives them a better chance to win next week? I have only questions and no answers.

..... Or are they really running a test to see if Dobbs gives them a better chance to win next week?

IMO, this is almost definitely the answer.
As for Jalen Hurts, I believe the Eagles are intentionally downplaying the significance of his injury. I'm guessing he will not play until at least the 2nd round of playoffs, and even then will be limited.

This is all just for continuity. To maintain the same gameplan and terminology for next weeks game. Dobbs is smart enough and experienced enough to pick it all up easily. He ran the ball 10 or more times per game often in colllege. Having said that, 14 points is a lot for any team, and I for one am not laying that sort of wood with the cowboys that almost lost to the Texans. Don't care if the final ends up being Dallas 40-10, still not laying 2 TDs. The Titans lost by 3 to KC....in KC......with Willis playing and completing 5 passes. Sure they had Henry that game, but this is gonna be a similar gameplan. Run run run, punch in mouth, etc etc......I would guess low scoring quick game, everyone wants to go home.

@BWS77 Since we are on the subject of quarterbacks, Jacoby Brissett is 8th by dvoa, 9th by qbr. And he's been holding a clipboard for what 3 games now? Only the Browns, only the Browns...
The weekly reporters TV show was on Monday night, they were aghast at the result. They still think the prior weeks Baltimore game was the pinnacle of the season and couldn't believe the downturn that took place in just one week after that impeccable 13 point performance against a depleted Ravens team. Stefanski getting more grief than they normally give him, mostly for giving up on Watson running and not handing the ball to Chubb in the 4th. Brissett is exclusively a 4th & Inches QB sneak QB now barring injury.

Since Desaun Watson has been starting for the Browns, "sharps" have been betting the Browns. Someone is really bullish on them every game. I've been tracking the line movement.
W13 @ Houston, -7 W
W14 @ Cincinnati, +5.5 L
W15 vs Ravens, +3 W
W16 vs NO, -3 L
Those folks have just lost juice so far, this week @ Washington is the rubber game so to speak, because they're all over the Browns again.
32% of tickets are on Cleveland, but 67% of the $.
Watson: -21.8% dvoa, 37.3 qbr
Wentz: -17.1% dvoa, 32.6 qbr
Why even bet this game? Could Wentz ball out? Or does he crap himself?
The more we look into this game, I think it would lean me towards the Commanders. But then I remember the disaster they had vs the Giants, where the refs had more of a say in that outcome rather than the play on the field.
Does anything have to do with the owner, Daniel Snyder? He's one class A piece of crap.

For me, it is Commies or pass on this game. But the musical QB chair at this point in the season doesn't sit well with me. Heinicke lost a few games, so what. So did Wentz in the beginning of the season. Normally I feel like Ron Rivera is an underrated HC, but I disagree with him here. All that aside, no matter who is under center for the Commies, I would still feel like that was the correct side.
I doubt I will have a straight bet on this game, but the Commies, getting 7.5 or 8 at home, in a must win, is a very reasonable 3 team 10 point teaser leg.
Eye test......I trust Heinicke more than Wentz, and the team seems to run better with him imo. The one outcome I think is the most unreasonable, is Cleveland going into their stadium and winning by more than 7. Anything else is on the table.

And yes, although I do not subscribe to the rigged theories, the shit we saw in that Commies/Giants game was unforgivable. Can a ref crew make that many mistakes?? I guess so? Are they being nudged to do so by the league office?? Maybe?? Geez.....I can't believe I even typed that.
Any other situation I might not believe it, but the league has to want Snyder out. Some of the stuff I have seen this year really does make you wonder, even the most even keeled realistic person on earth has to say hmmmmmm to some of this shit. Those missed calls, the McLaurin lineup issue. The bad call on the pick play. Missed PI in the endzone where the defender was literally draped ALL OVER the wideout. Brutal ways to lose the game. That game should have been a win for Heinicke. Maybe Wentz would not even be in this situation.
Now it is also obvious to me that McDaniels wanted Carr out of there. There is no other explanation for the offense that was run during some of the games, with huge leads, or even not so huge leads. I feel bad for Derek, and do not think his career is over. Might be wearing #4 for the Jets next season. Who knows. Time for a fresh start anyway.
So maybe not "rigged" in the traditional fixed sense of the word.........but maybe "nudged" is the better way to look at these situations.
