Saints ML(+110) *1.00/1.10
The line has flipped and then some. Seeing Saints -2.5 and looking like it's headed to 3. I almost have to consider taking the Eagles +3 with a chance to middle. At 3.5 I definitely will, even though the Eagles suck.
Bears ML(even) *1.00
Time to bet the Bears I think. No better opportunity than now with the injuries to the Colts D line.
DeForest Buckner is out on IR. A key DT for the Colts who have all ready struggled against the run giving up the most rush yards per game. Also rookie DE Laiatu Latu is questionable, leaving the Packers game with a hip injury. Reports I've read state that he avoided anything serious but looks like he will miss a game or 2.
The d line that the Bears will face this Sunday is a far cry from the Texans who sport Will Anderson, Mario Edwards, and Danielle Hunter. Granted, the Bears o line looked like a travesty on Sunday, they should make adjustments and work hard this week in practice to protect Caleb Williams. First and foremost by trying to establish any sort of resemblance of a running game.
Keep any eye out for FB Khari Blasingame's status. As of now he's questionable. He missed the Texans game. He is a key run blocker, arguably one of the best in the game. Albeit the FB position being a scarcity in the nfl.
If they get any sort of protection against the Colts pass rush, the secondary of the Colts is nothing to fear as they have given up the 2nd highest completion percentage in the league.
Anthony Richardson has made some big splash plays, showing off a canon of an arm this year. But beyond that, he's a turnover waiting to happen, with not much consistency behind his play. Things don't get any easier for him this Sunday vs a stout defensive unit.
On the other side of the field I can't argue that Caleb has done anything better than Richardson. On paper he's been worse. But here things should be easier for Williams, and if he can show anyone why he was the #1 overall pick, this is the spot. Honestly, I don't care about that last sentence really, it just sounds dramatic. All I want from Caleb Williams this Sunday is 1 or 2 TD drives, and a couple drives resulting in field goals.
I think that will be enough to beat the Colts.
