Parimutal Betting- Every win bet @ Churchill downs sat. had a % removed and then was placed in the Win Bet Pool (usually about 17% but I don't know exact) The tote board odds reflected the amounts bet on each horse and their% of the total.All of the pool is paid to the winner so there is NO holdover whether the favorite wins or the longest horse wins.The track has taken their % of the pool before the race has run and they don't CARE which horse wins because they are already taken their cut.
