All sports are manipulated .We bet anyway because we are degenerates, plain and simple. Besides, even wit hthe fix, we still have a 50-50 chance of winning. This is why anyone who doesn't factor in that fix angle is just throwing money away long-term.

Rigged? a better way to say it, it's Manipulated, the NBA is legally allowed to manipulate games, says so on the ticket when you buy to see a game, "for entertainment purposes only".. The only problem is knowing which side is going to win.. it's easy to tell as long as you know what to look for

Not just the NBA. Been watching the news, lately? Tennis stars are also being investigated for match fixing. Soccer, known as the clean and beautiful sport worldwide, is also corrupted. FIFA's President charged with bribery. Players, especially in leagues like Belgium, Italy, Greece, Singapore, etc....are arrested for match fixing almost everyday.

I would kindly hope and wish you to stay out of this thread if you got nothing smarter to add into this topic.
I wouldn't exactly say these point to clear signs of games being fixed. I mean off the top of my head there are two that I bet on that come to mind that were sketchy as hell when they happened. I also provided the box scores if anyone doesn't believe me.
OKC/TOR O/U of 212.5
Score is 108-104 and I had the over. Augustin goes to the FT line with 5 seconds left for OKC. He is a 90% FT shooter and he misses both, one barely even touched the rim. Raptors rebound and call a Timeout. They inbound the ball and derozen with about 2.5 seconds has a clear 10 foot jump shot and decides just to dripple the ball and end the game.
https://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400579228
Dallas/Lakers. Lakers are 7.5pt dogs (i was on the Lakers)
Dallas is up 8 with about 28 seconds left and the lakers don't foul so dallas just drains the playclock down to 4 or 5 seconds. Lakers get the ball back and while both teams are just standing around ellington just takes the ball drives to the hoop and lays it in as time expires with no one defending. Scroll down on this link in the play by play and see for yourself..

Look, let's just say that I don't like your attitude, period. I am not going to put efforts to convince you.

NBA capping is a waste of time, trying to figure out who is going to hustle or take the night off. Most players put out about 60 percent the rest just watch.

Look how the players whisper, look how Ellis is purposely screaming, just yelling for the guy with the ball to pass the ball to him so badly and then once he gets it - what does he do? Just runs the clock.
Then another guy is being told there is no need to be defensive so he just gets up and walk, and they all clear the way for the Lakers to score.
And I had no bet on this one, I just collected the data.

Sure, no problem. And it's not only the video - I also posted about it:

Haven't watched that game but I know what you're referring to. Those who don't believe the league is rigged are just stupidly blind.

not saying this has anything to do with a fix , buti just had to share, last night made my first bet on the nbain like 2 months just for some action , so no complaints but o man going into the 4th q of the hawks game i take the under 201.5 ,aamazingly i the last 10 seconds11points get scored 2 were on freethrows with less than 2 seconds final score 104-98
its just so amazing that the lines can be so exact so often
YOU have to collect the data before betting. Check the original lines. Check the halftime lines etc.
If you checked it at halftime you would see the halftime line was 110.5 (201.5 in full game) - so if you knew that you might have wanted to stay away from this one.
I've also talked about it in my very post here in this thread (with the link as well).

Funny how when people on covers win (even though they know the refs helped them) they don't say nothing even though it's fixed. But when people on covers lose (even though they know the refs helped the other team) they come here and start ranting about FIXES like they never seen a fix before.. And I'm talking the majority of peope on covers. Stfu already and stop creating these pointless threads...

You can use halftime lines to get "better" lines... e.g. if the line is 205.5 and at halftime it's 195.5 and you liked the over initially then you get it for 10 points less than the original line.
Of course it doesn't mean you have more chances but my rule of thumb is that it's worth it if the difference is 30+ points from the original line at halftime.

It's human nature to try and make up a story to explain what you see happening around you. That's why ancient peoples made up stories to explain natural phenomenon, saw pictures relevant to their lives in the stars & made up stories to explain how the pictures got there. But now we know there are Gods in Volcano causing it to erupt - its pressure from magma under the surface and that stars are not placed there by The Gods in particular pictures - they are in random locations that we prescribed a pattern to to help us make sense of what is going on around us.
This conspiracy theorizing about sports fixing is just more of the same basic human psychology. You made a bad bet and now are trying to spin some fantastical story to explain why your bet was a good one but the 'Gods' intervened for the other side.
Are there Russian mobsters trying to fix an obscure pro tennis match at the Slovenian Open? Probably sometimes. Are there bad apple players/coaches/refs who might have a gambling problem or some other personal problem an unsavory character learns about and uses to blackmail that individual into trying to affect the outcome of a match? Probably sometimes.
Is there a vast, league-wide conspiracy across American Pro & collegiate sports with everyone in on it from league executives to owners to coaches to players and everyone in between? Not a chance in the world. People saying 'Oh but there are millions bet on these games every week so corruption follows money'. You people think so small its embarrassing. The owners & leagues have a lot more to lose from their sports being actually rigged than they do from the outcome of betting in Vegas that they have no personal money tied up in. Its just a bunch of smucks like us tossing our paychecks to the books trying to make a little extra $$$.
These billionaire owners, league executives are running a much larger con than fixing matches; they are getting you and I, the taxpayers, to give them billions for new stadiums, tax breaks across the board, and then ditching us & our cities when the next best opportunity presents itself. And you think they would endanger all those billions by rigging everything which if exposed would destroy all the value they've created over the past 50+ years? They are smarter than that.

I've never had a bet on the Lakers/Dallas game that was fixed, never... so what was my intention to claim it was rigged? Did I lose anything from it? No. I just don't want people to live in denial that the NBA is being played naturally ... it is more like the STOCK MARKET nowadays, you can still bet it, but treat it like STOCKS ... 5 minutes of tons of scoring can be followed by no score at all for 2-3 minutes!

Firstly, I don't cry after losing a bet that the game was rigged... I was referring to games I personally had no bets on.
Secondly, I've heard this nonsense many times before that the NBA and American Sports are so big ... but REGARDLESS the score is affected by 5 players in each team ... millions are watching but only few are responsible for the score .... there are only 3 refs, 5 players, 1 coach ... why do you think those few people are so honesty and full of dignity?!?!?!
If you want to think about the opposite so the opposite of all this could be like having elections - there are only 2 candidates but do you have any idea how many people are "behind" them that influence so much?
Sorry but you are just blind if you believe the NBA is honest sports ... perhaps the STOCK MARKET is also a honest market ... gimme a break if that's what you believe in - then I'm sorry - you're just another typical American who is just too blind to see the truth in front of his face.
