Posted losers on purpose? That statement would seem to indicate that SB can see into the future. If he was banned for intentionally giving out the wrong side then there really is no standard for being banned here. No one knows the outcome of a game and therefore by definition cannot give out a loser on purpose. See it for what it is, he gave out a bad pick and made up some bs after the fact to stroke his ego. Certainly not any different than 99% of the other clowns justifying a bad pick when it lost. And if posting inaccurate or deceiving records is ban worthy then take a look at the covers "Expert" records. Its nothing but straight deception. You really think these touts are up those amounts overall? BS- it is in select categories of picks without accounting for their losing picks in other sports. If the touts were that good no one would be on these forums.

1) Covers management has never nor will ever ask the moderators to favor Covers Experts over members. Never. Covers is the busiest sports gambling website and has an incredible membership. One of its amazing aspects of that is reading analysis and information from our own members. You can learn so much about a team, particularly those in small conferences, from people who watch that team and post about it. Now, if you want a poster to follow in the future, look at my fellow mod Webba's plays. The guy is over 30k in units every single year.
2) The poster in question was never as good as claimed. So much was smoke and mirrors (we have the ability to see every post) including picking tens of games in various threads, then cherry picking the winning plays. Records were padded (for example, counting an underdog baseball pick as a double win in the win loss column and units), plays were retracted, and of course, the claim that a losing play was designed to throw off touts. Honestly, I cannot believe that anyone would ever fall for that.
The reality is that none of that is a bannable offense. Covers is not here to verify records in the threads. But when a poster engages in behavior that leads to hundreds of back and forth responses, it does lead to the mods having to police the threads. This poster was asked nicely by a very patient mod, Allbees, to knock it off. He didn't. He still wasn't banned.
The final straw was a post that claimed, after a losing day, that those who knew his real plays (which were not posted)went 8-1. What do you think the purpose of that was?
4) It is worth noting that in all of my years (and all of my fellow mods), we have never seen a poster with so many 'new' members, who also happened to be diehard supporters, in the threads. Ever. Not even close. We have some pretty good ways of checking IPs. I'll leave it at that.
I hope everyone survives the lack of hoops and assuming we have a Kentucky Derby, please come to the horse forum that week to play the Derby pool, where you can win free covers gear (the hoodies are awesome) just by playing and picking.
