I have no doubt about that at all. I do wonder if Culley was in on the 1 year plan, though. He was a pretty bad football coach but a good guy and the horrible Texans showed up more often than not. I kind of feel bad for him. Brian Flores is your next coach there.

The New York Giants announced they hired Joe Schoen as their new general manager on Jan. 21. Schoen, who succeeds Dave Gettleman, was previously the Buffalo Bills assistant general manager.
Good hire I thinks
The Carolina Panthers are expected to hire Ben McAdoo as their offensive coordinator, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports. The team announced the hire Jan. 24. McAdoo, a former head coach and OC of the Giants, succeeds interim OC Jeff Nixon, who took over after Joe Brady's midseason firing.
Ok hire I guess
Gotta go pee!

Yeah, so the Giants just hired Joe Schoen yesterday. I can hope we turn the corner...lol. There are mumblings about a two-fer with Bills OC Brian Daboll coming along as HC.

The Chicago Bears are expected to hire Ryan Poles as their new general manager. Poles, who succeeds Ryan Pace, was previously the Kansas City Chiefs executive director of player personnel.

Yea and that was supposed to be Ryan Pace's forte as an ex scout. This Poles guy is 36 years old, youngest gm in nfl history.
I suppose that the Bears will become super analytical now. Can't wait for them to go for it on 4th down every time where they get called for illegal procedure.

Byron Leftwich almost a lock to take the Jaguars job after interviewing today.
I love the hire. Arians has been completely enamored with him since he coached the Cardinals. Took the Bucs job only if Byron would be the OC. Beats the hell out of recycling old trash like Caldwell or Pederson. Very nice Jags, you finally made a smart choice.

I respond to some threads in the local media(Jacksonville) who would prefer a HC with previous experience with this :
"Do you not even realize that former head coaches looking for work have already failed and been fired by someone else?"
Granted you can make a case for Belichick, Reid and Carroll having made good after being fired, but that was a long time ago. It's changed. The players have changed and so has their attitude and education.

I think it's a mistake. If I was him I'd want to stay in TB and take over when Arians leaves. No way Arians is sticking around much longer after experiencing life without a hall of fame QB.
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!

I agree wholeheartedly and I've always been a proponent for bringing in young talent and minds. Your insight on the Jags is always welcome

Tampa is team that was built to win now and they did it. The future for the next 5 years is bleak. Bill Parcells was smart about this. He wanted nothing to do with a successful team that was declining. Always look to where the future is.

The Minnesota Vikings hired Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as their new general manager on Jan. 26. Adofo-Mensah, who succeeds Rick Spielman, was previously the Cleveland Browns vice president of football operations.
I think it may be a short tenure

Hackett was the OC in Jax. Energetic, enthusiastic guy but a shitty Xs and Os guy. It's my understanding he was merely tasked with reading Matt Lafleur's blueprint in GB and was not involved in schemes or play calling.
