All the bud delivery guys are getting so much shit that I run into, it's great.
My buddy I work with taped a box of tampons to the back of a budwiser truck yesterday.

Reports say that bud has lost 5 billion in revenue over the last 2 weeks.
I listened to a podcast earlier that said that there are 1.6 million transgender people 13 years old and up. So how many of those are 21+?
Why target these people, and was it really to get them to drink their product?
Something smells fowl

Mental illness is a big problem.
It could just very well be that someone who is male, and wants to be female, and visa versa, is a precursor to other issues.
Violence of this magnitude is the worst case.
Drug use mixed with hormone blockers can't be good.
Some people need serious help. Those need to be identified and helped.

Idiocracy was supposed to be a movie, not a documentary...
This culture war shit is so mind numbingly stupid, to pour so much time and energy in such a frivolous matter is disheartening, to say the least. Who gives a fuck about a commercial?! Aren't there more pressing issues to address in the society?! To target a small segment of the population, over a mere commercial is such a waste of time, so much vitriol and ignorance, over nothing of actual importance in the real world...

There are countless pressing issues going on in the world, and this is one of them which is relevant to this thread topic. Billion dollar companies stepping out of their lane to appease marginalized groups, while basically spitting in the face of every real biological female in the case of all Dylan M's recent sponsorships for women's makeup and beauty care products and other brand ambassador titles, just for example.
Normalizing and even glamorizing obesity is what is currently happening in today's marketing and advertising.
I have small kids, I have raised them to respect health & wellness and to realize the difference between making good vs bad food choices and overall lifestyle of being well balanced in everything they do, with moderation being the key if they want or crave something we all know as parents we wouldn't like our kids eating something specific more than once or twice a month.
For me, I find it absolutely wrong for the agenda to be pushing obesity acceptance onto our kids who can be easily manipulated and led to believe falsehoods which can ultimately destroy their quality and duration of life.
What some may say this is insignificant, others will speak out and stand up of our youth.
For the rare cases of medical preexisting conditions, no child under the age of 10 should be fat, let alone clinically obese. Yet in North America, there's an epidemic that no one has the courage to call out...fat or obese kids are innocent victims of long term child abuse by ignorant parents.
But the more fatties coming up the pipeline from a young age, the health care system and pharmaceutical companies will continue to earn record profits year after year.
Fuck Gatorade for thinking this is okay.

I wasn't talking about the obesity problem, which is real and I agree with pretty much all you've said, but that's a public health issue, which is complex and needs a multi level approach. As for Gatorade, I never drink it, yet you can't really blame them for what they are doing, they are just trying to make money, you can say it's despicable, but at the end of the day they are just exploiting and existing problem, which is not of their making.
What I was addressing was the reason this thread was opened, sac asked what's the angle here, well it's pretty simple: inclusion. This has been done before, companies making a commercial and using someone from a persecuted segment of society, to highlight that they are also humans. The irony of this whole Bud debacle is that the reaction to it, by a lot of people, proved the exact reason why these type commercials are made.
Anyway, it's ridiculous to react in such a manner to a mere commercial, which at the end of the day has no real effect whatsoever, on anyone in real life...

It's barbershop chatter, you're right, it's quite irrelevant big picture, however is 10am on a Saturday and I'm looking over today's card and just shooting the shit in the box.
The Mulvaney agenda here is so manufactured and fake, it's one of the web's biggest clownshows running.
The guy is literally mocking females to their face, and you have bizarre executives making decisions to make him their new brand ambassador and "shake things up" in the name of clicks and attention and being talked about.
Nike and Oil of Olay are also seeing significant backlash and boycotts from their partnerships with Drag Queen Dylan.
It's all an act, as was his similar behaviour and strange dance routine when he did this as a gay man years ago but it didn't get him any acting gigs or fame, so he went into the trans deep end for his quest for success:

Did you see those legs?! I would've been like, "Won't you put the axe down and pick up this hammer," if you know what I mean? The sledgehammer!
Seriously though, how'd this dude just sit there and watch that motherfucker swing and axe at him. I woulda try to drop his ass before he even got a chance to swing. Worst than could happen is you end up tussling and he doesn't have the space and distance to swing. Also, RIP for that dude not having a gun behind the counter

None of this is even over a commercial. I hadn't been following this story closely somI assumed it was behind some national ad campaign as well. No. Bud partnered with Dylan as he... she... they? ...are social media Influencers. Companies make these deals with social media influencers all of the time. To commemorate the deal, they made a Dylan a special six pack with his picture on it. Dylan posted about it. The world lost it's collective mind.
People should boycott Bud Lite because it's shit beer that while being one of the most historically recognizable American brands, is actually owned by InBev. However, boycotting the beer over this? Over a sponsorship deal with a trans person? So fucking what. I'm against trans "women" competing in women's sports. I'm not against trans people drinking shitty beers.
