Went from up 30k to ruining my life in a weekend gambling

He can't outrun the internet, his phone or computers

I know 99% of basic strategy of blackjack and I still only have a 50/50 chance of winning when at a casino but I know how to manage and coin my money and how to take advantage of winning streaks and how to hedge my bets when deemed necessary and if at a table and throw a hundred down and get it to 140 I will continue to play and if I continue to win I have my guarantee and play with the access and when I get to my predetermined amount of winnings bye bye I walk away a winner! which I know that oh so many of you don't even have a clue on how to do that and will most likely leave losers.

Not a dig to anyone here it's just the truth the discipline involved in sports gambling is a niche that very few have

I’m in the same situation, or maybe worse, as im expecting my 2nd child to come in 2 1/2 months, but I’m telling you I still have no idea how I’m gonna pay for that(not even a dime), oh wow, but I’m capable of putting at least 1k on fking college hoop every morning, as I’m sitting here typing all these, 10 mins ago I was laughing on your post, and 5 mins I was expecting Fking Clippers pull the live 1H +5.5 for me(down 52-50 with 2 mins to go then I turned off the cellphone and changed the diaper for my 2 years old son, came bk, …rockets .64-52 clippers….. with this play another day down 1k……. I have out in my mind from September that I wont touch this $hit at least before the birth of my second child, but every week I’ve been in relapse, I’m losing 4-6k average per month, so I’m most likely -50k….. ppl might laugh at me after seeing this, but only the ones who are suffering from gambling addiction will get the pain 

It's okay to come here and vent but please stop gambling money you can always make and don't assume it will come from gambling because it won't.

Family always first and if you continue going down this destructive path You will lose your family as well.

Buddy, I mean this in the best way, you need an intervention.

 I truly need….. I think the best way for me is to stop now, but it’s just too hard to stop as there’s a local bookie right next to where I go to work…I know I suck I admit that 

quitters never prosper. If u quit, u lost, youre a loser. 

Thats a horrible take. Who is going to judge you? Your friends? Your bookie?  Is this highschool peer pressure?

He needs to grow up and get help and be a man. 

Your making excuses. Grow a pair and fix your lifestyle. Or you are going to lose more than just $$$.

 I'm addicted, but have learned how to win or limit my losses. Been married for 30 years.

Does your wife know you will never fully cure your addiction and just let's you have that as long as you don't mortgage the house?

 We made a deal years ago. I have my money, she has her money and we combine monies to take care of the house/family etc. In this instance, she doesn't care what I do with my money.

 This is not bragging, I've been blessed. 1) My house has been paid for since 2005. 2) I'm completely out of debt (no car payments etc.) 3) My career gave me a pension and to draw part of my social security when I retired in 2016 at age 54. 3) Our only child is in Texas and is doing well financially (doesn't need our help). Knock on wood, I've been blessed!

You are indeed fortunate. I asked because I've unfortunately met more than a few guys who had gambling addictions and did some wild stuff to hide the fact they lost so much money to their wives.
