Newsom is very popular and not just in California.

I was surprised he won the recall vote by more than his first election.

He would make a fine choice for president.

But there are two republicans I believe would also be reasonable alternatives if Newsom doesn't run.

Gov. Larry Hogan of Maryland and former Gov of Ohio, John Kasich.   These two are moderate republicans who shun the radical progressives on the left and the radical Trumpist on the right.

None of these men are perfect.  Everybody has flaws.  But in modern politics the goal is to have less flaws than the alternatives.

Joe Biden is a case in point. 

Schiff may have chased down a rabbit hole or two a little too far IMO but he's a good man.

The country needs more like him,  regardless if an "R" or a "D" beside his or her name.

if the election really was stolen through massive fraud then show us the valid and verifiable proof and he will believe it

California’s numbers are awful across the board and show failed progressive policies. Soaring homelessness, drug use, crime, unemployment and inequality. 

The fact that people think Schiff and Newsom are two of the best points towards the stranglehold the media has on its viewers 

Someone like Kasich has zero chance 

The Republican Party is now the anti-establishment party. This switched with Trump. A lot of Bernie supporters became Trump supporters. The candidate needs to be anti-lockdown, anti-mandate, anti-regulation, have an anti-war voting record, pro small business etc. — someone like DeSantis. I also like Suarez in Miami. I’m not sure if anyone has the balls to take the heat that comes with being an anti-establishment politician but we’ll see. 

People are leaving California, New York, and Illinois for a reason. People are moving to Florida for a reason. 

If I could short a city right now it would be NYC. Adams and Bragg are going to be a disaster if they start implementing far left policies and NYC will look like SF.

Carter charged that "without immediate action, we are at genuine risk of civil conflict and losing our precious democracy."
