In all fairness, several hours isn't much time. That the info "came out" in several hours rather than several days means it actually came out extremely fast. It came out so fast that initially I thought it was a dude who had become a woman until my bro Uni corrected me.

Bringing up Chicago is always the lazy Defacto response for gun supporters. You know what else Chicago has? The most guns on the streets of any major city. Again gun culture and the mass production of guns make them readily available on the streets. Mostly, on the black market.
Chicago also has the most corrupt police forces in the country too that turns an eye to gun, gang, and drug violence because many are on the take. That city is not really the prime example of a city with the strictest gun laws in the country. 
Plenty of examples of cities and countries with strict gun laws that work. The key is enforcement of these laws by politicians and police that are not contributing to the violence.

Please post some actual numbers to back this up. I would love to see them. I imagine they would lean on rural, southern towns/states with low populations/density and high poverty rates having high per Capita homicide rates. None of this tells the full story. States with strict laws like my home state of California, New York, Illinois, etc. clearly have problems with gun violence. And if you still down into major cities in states with aggressive gun laws, the picture becomes even clearer. For example, a city like Philadelphia has a high rate of assaults and homicides involving guns. The state of Pennsylvania is large by northeastern United States standards and incredibly rural. This would affect the rates of said state with strict gun laws but does it mean those strict gun laws are working in cities like Philly? Or Pittsburgh? The notion that states with strict gun laws have lower homicide rates is laughable. As I said above, I'm sure it is propped up on poor, rural southern states with limited gun laws and low population density.

I heard the whole take down from the time the police got the call to taking down the shooter was 14 minutes. High efficiency. Police definitely handled this call and shooter perfectly. Prevented more mass carnage.

It's a known fact that a lot of the guns on Chicago streets are bought in Indiana and brought to Chicago.On parts of the SE side of the city,one side of the street is Chicago,and literally the other side of the street is in Indiana.Of course you're gonna have guns being trafficked very easily in that situation.
