Some well deserved praise for the police officers and their quick response..great job!!!
Chicago gun violence don't disprove tougher gun laws can prevent violence according to politifact. Chicago doesn't have the highest homicide rate. Jackson, St. Louis, New Orleans and many cities have higher homicide rates. Chicago police reports most illegal guns come from states with weak gun laws. Also Chicago doesn't have the toughest gun laws. But weakening of gun laws have lead to increases in gun deaths. Everytown study confirms that states with strong gun laws have lower rates of gun deaths than states with weak laws.

In all fairness, several hours isn't much time. That the info "came out" in several hours rather than several days means it actually came out extremely fast. It came out so fast that initially I thought it was a dude who had become a woman until my bro Uni corrected me.

Bringing up Chicago is always the lazy Defacto response for gun supporters. You know what else Chicago has? The most guns on the streets of any major city. Again gun culture and the mass production of guns make them readily available on the streets. Mostly, on the black market.
Chicago also has the most corrupt police forces in the country too that turns an eye to gun, gang, and drug violence because many are on the take. That city is not really the prime example of a city with the strictest gun laws in the country. Plenty of examples of cities and countries with strict gun laws that work. The key is enforcement of these laws by politicians and police that are not contributing to the violence.

Please post some actual numbers to back this up. I would love to see them. I imagine they would lean on rural, southern towns/states with low populations/density and high poverty rates having high per Capita homicide rates. None of this tells the full story. States with strict laws like my home state of California, New York, Illinois, etc. clearly have problems with gun violence. And if you still down into major cities in states with aggressive gun laws, the picture becomes even clearer. For example, a city like Philadelphia has a high rate of assaults and homicides involving guns. The state of Pennsylvania is large by northeastern United States standards and incredibly rural. This would affect the rates of said state with strict gun laws but does it mean those strict gun laws are working in cities like Philly? Or Pittsburgh? The notion that states with strict gun laws have lower homicide rates is laughable. As I said above, I'm sure it is propped up on poor, rural southern states with limited gun laws and low population density.

I heard the whole take down from the time the police got the call to taking down the shooter was 14 minutes. High efficiency. Police definitely handled this call and shooter perfectly. Prevented more mass carnage. High praise.

@DeezyAZ81
List some of these major cities with strict gun laws that are working. You said there are plenty so it shouldn't be hard.

Selective outrage like I said. "They want their voices heard for a legitimate complaint." No credibility with this statement.
You already showed your true colors. Again, you are downplaying January 6th because it suits your narrative. You are fine with some violence if it supports your favorite Traitor in Chief . We all see what it is with you, no matter how you try and spin it. There was no "legitimate complaint." Your guy lost the election and supporters like you tried and failed to overturn the election by storming the capitol looking for Congress members to hurt and do as they command. Nice try. Cannot have it both ways.

Seriously now,
Before 2016 election Trump said he didn't trust elections and believed millions of votes were fraud. The Left and news media roasted that comment.
So what happened after Trump won in 2016?
The wa-post article claims voter ID requirements surpressed the vote in the black community. Apparently blacks don't have ID.
Expert scientists say!!! Follow the science!
The machines are flipping votes!!!
Trump supporters beaten by the left. That's Ok, right?

As soon as it goes the other way, YOU HAVE NO LEGIT RIGHT TO COMPLAIN AND PROTEST!!!!

No, look here; https://www.chicagotribune.com/investigations/ct-kim-foxx-felony-charges-cook-county-20200810-ldvrmqvv6bd3hpsuqha4duehmu-story.html
During Foxx’s first three years as the county’s top prosecutor, her office dropped all charges against 29.9% of felony defendants, a dramatic increase over her predecessor, the Tribune found. For the last three years of Anita Alvarez’s tenure, the rate was 19.4%.
Chicago in the process of electing a mayor "tough on crime", not tough on cops.

I agree, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Florida and other Deep South states do have lots of shootings for their small populations. Prolly bc their GOP lawmakers are soft on crime.

Obviously gun laws work cause no one shoots in a gun free school zone ...
I mean criminals obey laws....
I mean are you all just delusional
laws do nothing to prevent gun violence
What stops a bad guy with a gun... A good guy with a gun.

A 27-year-old man was arrested after being found on a Triad college campus in North Carolina with with a revolver, handgun, rifle, two shotguns and hundreds of rounds of ammo.
He was released on bond.
Something tells me we may hear about this guy again down the road....

Myth is that criminals always find a way to get guns. But laws like background checks stop gun sales to criminals every day. Since 1994, these laws have blocked over 4 million gun sales to people who couldn't legally own guns according to US bureau of justice statistics.
Myth is that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good gun with a gun. If more guns everywhere made us safer, US would be the safest country on earth. Instead US gun homicide rate is 26 times higher than that of other rich countries.
Myth is that mass shooters are likely to target gun free zones. However Everytown reveals only 10% of mass shootings occur in gun free zones. Shooters target person, group or institution for their grievance.

Isn't North Carolina led by GOP leadership? Republicans are so weak on crime letting a criminal like this back out into the streets and general public with a history of gun violence.
