It would be nice to have a discussion with someone on the Left here that actually looks into the subject; unlike so many on here that just spew the talking points with no research.

i have asked him several times on several topics to back up what he says and questioned some of his data. But nothing ever comes back when I do that. He just stops on that subject and moved to another thread.
Maybe he just figured since he lost on that topic he will move to another topic; who knows.

Just the fact that Ukraine was and is known to be corrupt and Hunter Biden, son of vice- president, landing a job on an Ukraine gas company board is eyebrow raising in itself. Biden demanding the same country's top criminal investigator to be fired is, at a minimum, a huge conflict of interest.
FBI's information gathering has "credible source" saying Biden's payed off.
China business gives Hunter $5 million don't have to payback "loan". Russia bussiness woman gives Hunter's company $3.5 million. Romania bussinessman pays "consulting fee" for real estate advice.
On and on and on. And all the while Hunter is smoking crack and buying hookers. Hunter's business associates are in prison.
Don't think this is going to age well for you.

We would like to make a break through with a few of you as well; alas, it is not working.
A lot of entrepreneurs fail at a lot of businesses before they succeed. A fear of failure is what keeps the rest of the folks from trying.
So, you just out-of-hand dismiss his successful businesses? Why? It is not like every business is the Trump Vodka; some have been the Trump Tower.

You are confusing multiple issues here.
You assume that folks deny he is a bad guy; I do not know many, if any, that deny that.
As I have said time and again on here, people voted for him because he is blunt and speaks his mind and is an achiever. Being successful in the New York building market is not for a passive person at all.
People wanted a non-politician and, sure, some may think the USA needs to be run like a business -- but I think that was too small to matter.
Many, many people in history have been very flawed and still led people and been successful. Whether you look at Solomon, etc., or Ford, etc. or any other field. So, certainly there are examples of that in politics -- including Presidents.
I think a lot of folks are tired of Trump and wished he had decided not to run. But I think a lot of them have decided that the country was doing really well under Trump, especially pre-Wuhan.
But the basic answer to this question is the same as the problem you guys have: there is no viable alternative.
The Right had 4 years to get a better person to run, they did not; the Left as well, they did not.
So, now you are stuck with these guys.
No solid person from either party is switching parties.
If, I do not know who -- pick one, DeSantis, Haley, Scott were to beat Trump out and Biden were incapacitated or got impeached, etc. -- would you ever consider voting for the Republican person?
No matter who the Right runs -- the Left will vote for their person and vice-versa.
So, I do not think your premise about a flawed candidate holds up when considering a person's choice to switch parties -- especially as far Left as Biden is, etc.

I do not think 'demagogue' means what you think it means here when applying to most politicians.
I would say Trump certainly does what he can to appeal to his base but not so much to the ordinary American. By definition he has done quite the opposite. Look at how polarizing he is. He does not even appeal, per se, to a lot of his own party now. They may still vote for him because they are voting against the Democrats.
But Trump could try to say look at how well all of you were doing under me and use some rhetoric there. But at this point he has not; some of his folks have tried. But Trump just rallies up a few of his hardcore base.
Maybe in the general election he will use more demagoguery rhetoric. But who knows, but for now he certainly is not doing a good job of saying what he thinks the average person would like to hear in order to sway them to vote for him; I would say just the opposite.

But todays republicans in "Red" states won't pay for infrastructure at that level, and even in their own states, won't pay for highway or bridge work if it means higher taxes which is for the most part helped out by the Blue states ! I think everyone on here should study tax breaks, economics, the lagging effects and the politics behind them and the blame game with them.
The basic understanding of economics on this forum is appalling.
You are absolutely all over the place here and not a bit of it is correct or makes sense. You should look into those issues in the '50s that you are trying to tie together. No economist sees it the way you tried to express it.
You also still have not answered any of the questions I raised before and, instead, just jumped to another subject(s).

He has agreed to plead guilty to 2 minor misdemeanors for failing to pay federal taxes on time. Probable sentence is 2 years probation and no prison time. Charge for illegal gun possession is likely to be dismissed in the future. Typically, minor offenses aren't prosecuted. Deal likely ends long running criminal investigation of Hunter. However desperate House republicans vow to continue witch hunt to falsely smear Biden despite no evidence.
Everything is partisan, if you look at ultra conservative sources today it is an uproar (like ZH) where other outlets are not as outraged, reverse happens when a GOP doobie gets a hand slap or kid glove treatment or no treatment.
Both Bidens are lousy takers who make the world a worse place, same goes for Trump and most any politician for that matter. We should stop the partisan squabbling it only makes the environment possible where crap like this can happen and all it does is sell more products for corps who shill services and advertising when you are watching the news programs and clicking on websites.
Oh and for the record I am more ticked off at the abortion issue and how the SCOTUS submarined the rights of thousands of women than I am of the lush loser Hunter Biden.
