 right .   its embarrasing to realize u and i and so many others including all surgeons and  nurses  around the world were and still r totally wrong about wearing masks to protect their open heart surgery patients from possible infection from them .   totally wrong all ths time .  proof positive that mask wearing does not help protect others .  so now they can throw them away and save all the $$$  since masks clearly dont help to protect others in any way at all .  this should reduce health care costs by billions every year !

They did NOT say nor imply those measures are GUARANTEED 100% effective.

 Wearing a mask on plane. Yes, makes sense. Wearing a mask at a hospital where sick people NEED to go, yes, makes sense.

Wearing a mask while walking outside when nobody is around. Makes 0 sense. Yet, people still wear a mask when outside when it's warm and nobody is around. Why do people do that? The media has scared the shit out of them.

People on the right are not saying masks are a bad idea, they are saying there's certain times when a mask should be worn. The media is trying to get people to wear them while outside or by themselves in their car because they do not make it clear on when they should wear them. That is the issue with the media. They fail to make things clear. Just like our taxes. The more confused you are, they more you're controlled.

Why do I see people alone in their personal car wearing 2 masks and gloves?! They have been manipulated. Liberalism is a metal disorder.

 I don't know where you live but even in crazy SFLA I've never seen anyone driving with a mask & gloves.

 Wrong. I see it multiple times a day. I drive often for work and I am in CA around a bunch of liberals. I'm more worried about how these people can not think for themselves then I am about people without a mask. I am not walking up to people without a mask and licking their face.

I'll go to the store later and will snap photos of the people with gloves on. I see at least 3 people with gloves and then I'll see at least 2 cars with drivers with masks. I also check to see if they are Uber/Lyft and they never are.

People in FL, while also crazy like people in CA, know that a mask is useless in your own car or outside when the sun is shinning (it's a fact that heavy droplets fall to the ground quickly and smaller ones die off pretty quickly once in the air). Why do you think people flocked to FL? Because people are sane there. Why do you think there was a mass exodus from blue states? Because people are not sane. Last year if I walked outside during the summer by a body of water, people would stop and turn around. Or they would run across the street. I have no reason to make this shit up either. I am just tired of the media and the sheep that cling to every word as truth. That's not a left or right issue either, that is a human psychology issue IMO. I feel like the people outside by themselves also believe people are 100% responsible for this earth warming up and believe that covid is floating in bubbles and if they walk through it they'll become infected. I doubt any implied frequency to be sure, but I could logically accept that it likely happens at least occasionally, and  for VARIOUS REASONS WHICH THE CASUAL OBSERVER WOULD NOT POSSIBLY KNOW FOR A FACT, such as:

-  very short trip to a location where masks *ARE* required (hospital)

-  driver, passenger or both put it on on the insistance of their partner

-  the driver or passenger KNOWS he is infected and prefers not to infect another passenger or a tiny child that the observer cannot see is inside that vehicle

- or he/she has a valid reason to suspect he/she *COULD* be infected

-  the persons KNOWS that he/she will be spending a lot of time LATER in a place where masks *ARE* required and prefers to wear them in advance to get used to wearing them  (I had to do that with condoms as I didn't want to leave anything to chance!)

- and of course there's always a chance, indeed a GOOD chance, on any forum on any website that the OP is just making up stuff to enhance a preferred narrative, then when challenged, insists he's telling the "gawds honest truth" blah, blah, blah

   Indeed I see many, many Asians (visitors?) wearing masks virtually all the time!

   That is what they do.  Previous pandemics over there were very deadly to them.  But their population centers are extremely dense so social distancing is very difficult - but masking and either hand-washing *OR* glove wearing are the best alternatives.......and no! from any sort of distance, you can not ALWAYS tell for a fact whether the MASKED DRIVER is Asian or not in a moving vehicle!  THAT I would call BS on!!!

And checking the official world stats, Asian countries have the lowest amount of infections, hospitalizations, and deaths PER CAPITA than all other countries - and by a HUGE MARGIN!

I am more than happy to dig up and REPOST those stats once again!

Of course there is always the off chance the masked/gloved person is engaging in criminal activity.

In some areas, that "off chance" could be more elevated

And I'll add another possibility they *might* be seen wearing masks (double or single) and gloves at times or in areas where it might otherwise seem unnecessary:

- YES, it is *possible* (not likely imo, but certainly possible) that some people  *MISUNDERSTAND* what is being said, either on "social media"  *or*  far less likely, on televised or print media.   Certainly we've seen examples of that RIGHT HERE on this forum multiple times.

I know of NO normal, mainstream media (televised, print, or internet) that is telling VACCINATED people, or even UNvaccinated people, who are all alone in their homes *or* all alone in their cars (and will remain alone for the duration of a long trip) *or* all alone out in the open air (like a public park) that THEY MUST MASK UP WHEN THEY ARE TOTALLY ALL ALONE REGARDLESS!!!

BUT, they MIGHT BE advising, and correctly so, that if you might likely come in contact with others, or come close to others, such as walking past them in a park, or standing in a crowd waiting for a street light, or at a baseball stadium, or on public transportation of any kind it is ADVISABLE you be wearing a mask  TO PROTECT THEM and to a lesser degree to protect yourself.   This makes sense.  It's possible some people WRONGFULLY take that to mean wear a mask ALL THE TIME.

That is *NOT* the message sent, but it may be the way some receive it.

I will not BLAME the media for the fault of others' misunderstanding, unless it CAN BE *PROVEN* that a given media is sending FALSE messages and in very specific words.   And even then, IF PROVEN, only that particular media is at fault.  I refuse to paint ALL OF THEM with the same brush! THAT is BIGOTRY!

 I got 2 photos within 1 minute of each other of people on sidewalks with literally nobody in sight. I see this shit every day. I'm not giving trolls on here my location but nice try. I'm in CA in a heavily liberal area.  I don't use social media either otherwise I'd post photos daily of this crap.

And to Fubah. You might be right, but there's a lot of "IFs" and speculations. They are most likely just scared. IF they were sick and knew it, they shouldn't be going to the store, even with 2 masks on.

I see people outside by themselves with nobody in sight wearing masks, I see people in the store with gloves every time I go (I've noticed it more often after a media scare blitz). GLOVES DO NOT STOP COVID, YOU CAN NOT GET COVID FROM TOUCHING OBJECTS! I have not been to the store today but I have been driving and I went just a few blocks and the only 3 people I saw out had a mask on with literally nobody in sight ( with photo proof). Why would it matter what part of CA I am in, I'm sure it's the same shit all over this crazy state. I am near a large body of water and I see people NEAR THE WATER WITH MASKS ON EVERY TIME I GO NEAR THE WATER. You don't want to believe it because then I'd be right and you'd hate it. But it's the truth.  Most of the people with masks and gloves are usually in a Prius, if that tells you anything about whom are wearing them.

If you know people in CA just reach out and ask them if they see the same shit.

mainstream media were not recently telling vacs or unvacs they had to mask up anytime they r 100% completely alone  - only when they r around people or could likely b around people soon . which makes sense to me .

Because the science says you do not need to wear it when outside. It's a statistical anomaly to catch a virus when nobody is around and you're outside with nobody sneezing in your face (why doesn't the media tell people to sneeze in their damn shirt sleeve and obviously away from people?! Tell people the basics of how to avoid a higher chance of catching a virus). So why would someone not enjoy the fresh air? Why restrict?!   Isn't this all based on science? What does science say about being outside, in the warmth, with nobody around and then catching a virus? Maybe everyone doesn't look at the numbers but I feel like there's a better chance of seeing aliens.  I don't mind people wearing a mask outside. But I have to question the reason 'why'. If it makes them feel safe that's understandable. If they wear it because they've become fearful based on the media, than I have an issue.

As far as gloves at the store, now we've gone from in their cars with two masks, I call you on it and it's on the street with nobody around to now it's changed to gloves at the store. And you're in this super secretive location that you won't reveal because you know i'll call your bluff. There's absolutely no other reason for being so evasive. It's not like i'm asking what street you live in. Sure, there are always outliers but it's more typical of Californians, even liberal Californians, especially liberal Californians, to NOT listen to regulations. Californians make their own rules. There are always specific cases. For example, the Chinese in SF have worn masks for looong before covid. There will always be elderly people who are super cautious and wearing gloves at the grocery store but you're trying to paint this picture of "these liberal Californians wearing hazmat suits" and i'm saying you're full of shit.
