Covid-19 Good And Bad

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem in: "South Dakota is now the first state in America to launch a statewide, state-backed clinical trial of hydroxychloroquine to fight COVID-19."

We'll see what happens.

Congressional Republicans have been trying for more than a week to pass a clean funding bill allocating $250 billion to replenish the program as it became increasingly apparent that funds would soon run out. Democrats, however, blocked the legislation to offer a counter-proposal of their own consisting of a progressive wish-list of long sought-for items.

Several Senate Democrats are now breaking with party leadership to demand immediate replenishment of the fund now.

On Thursday at least 20,000 small business loans went unprocessed because Democrats Pelosi and Senator Chuck Schumer would not approve more funding.

Rep. Jim Jordan announced on Thursday that Democrats will not pass legislation to save small businesses until they get their legislation that would give money to states that let criminals out of prison.

Can't get much done when they aren't in session Billy.

Covid deaths in the US have doubled in a week. 

Covid cases in Wisconsin have skyrocketed since April 8th when voters stood in line to vote.

How many of these deaths happen after hydrochloroquine and Z-pack, zinc ect. were used?

I was looking at the countries that Malaria is prevalent  and I see a very, very low Cov-19 infection situation. Huh?

My choice, If offered, would be to take the Hydro./z-pac/zinc as a prophylactic action, and move on from this.  The Hydo drug has been used for over 40 years and I have used the Z-pack more that once.

I heard from 1 source that any Cov-19 cases in the US.... the Fed government foots the bill.  Kinda works out good $$ for the hospitals.

Of course it is  MIDNIGHT... after all., You're the mother Teresa and care for all in distress.  I applaud you for your generosity,  but not for your intellect.    How many times have you heard..  WASH YOUR HANDS .  That's a public service announcement from the Smithfield Packaging Plant in Sioux Falls, SD.   

Also , south Dakota doesn't have mass transit that I'm aware of.  Lol.  Did you realize there are more cows in south Dakota than people... or is that  North Dakota..    ok.  I think I've proven my  point here.  Nothing to fear here...

But then again, my oldest sister is a pharmacist, my younger sister was a big shot @ Pfizer & my older brother who became deaf when getting meningitis at the age of 4 & in spite of his hearing loss he became a Professor teaching American History to deaf students @ Gallaudet University.

Not sure the above image will work in this forum, it shows how Sweden's Covid-19 deaths spike sharply comparing to it's neighbor countries and S. Korea. Sweden is the country that does insist NO stay-at-home measure. 

Z paks are an antibiotic, antibiotics don't work on viruses. 

I'm one of those lazy liberals who started working at the age of 12 and continue to work at  the age of 67(as of yesterday)  

Don't forget to mention that some of the small business money was siphoned off to larger corps by trump and mnuchin. large restaurants and hotel chains.

They prescribe antibiotics in instances such as thia to combat things like pneumonia, smart guy.

Dr. Chris Murray, the chair of Health Metric Sciences at the University of Washington, predicts only four states could open by May 4, according to his model. These four states are VT, WV, MT and HI. Other states may have to wait until late June or early July.

Not sure how his model of prediction will work? But definitively FL is not on his May 4 open list where Jacksonville beaches are reopened for "essential activities" reason. 

I find it absolutely astonishing that any one (Especially the Trump haters) can try to explain away Pelosi actions. She is the

poster child for being a piece of shit. She doesn't give a flying fk about Americans. Trying to defend her is ignorance. Make the

Pandemic hasn't ended although social distancing has proven effective in bending the curve in number of coronavirus cases.  Despite positive signs, abandoning what works may be premature because of inadequate testing data.  Majority of Americans fear coronavirus restrictions will be lifted too soon according to NBC/wall street journal poll.  According to Harvard, coronavirus pandemic is just getting started.  Don't be fooled by multiple peaks.  Most of the population is not immune and a vaccine is still a long way off.  In spanish flu pandemic, lifting of social distancing lead to a second wave of pandemic.
