Has anyone caught that damn bat yet? 

Earlier today CDC has signed off the the new booster shots target both the original strain of the coronavirus and the omicron BA.4 and BA.5 subvariant, we can get shots as early as tomorrow (Friday)*. Actually, CVS has listed some of its pharmacy stores available of the shots for tomorrow, I guess Walgreens...etc will have the shots available for tomorrow as well.

Many of those pharmacies welcome walk-in for the newest omicron BA.4 and BA.5 subvariant vaccines, and include the regular flu shot...etc. 

Today CVS around my area are starting to administer Covid-19 bivalent vaccines, I saw plenty of people had appointment and been waiting at the pharmacy section.

This of course was before Donald Trump refused to wear a mask and before Biden said, "Get vaccinated and you won't get COVID."

FUNNY HOW HISTORY GETS REWRITTEN.

Center for disease control still recommends mask wearing for healthcare workers near patients with respiratory infections.  Also masks recommended for patients with respiratory infections in healthcare settings.  Public health measures such as community masking are likely the major reason for a decline in flu cases during the pandemic.

Valid point in the above, majority of healthcare personnel wear masks during work. Mask is the protection for themselves as well as for the patients.

In the first 5 months of the pandemic 570,000 mask wearing healthcare workers infected and 2500 killed by COVID.

Fortunately most people around our country (except MAGA cult fools) understand why this is not a cure but it is still helpful in reducing the disease spread.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis office on Wednesday slammed the Biden administration’s ongoing mask mandate for low-income toddlers, calling it an "unacceptable" harm to children that even contradicts current guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Governor DeSantis will not allow federal bureaucrats to muzzle children in Florida," Griffin added. "It is unacceptable that the Biden Administration would continue to do this to children, and bizarre that they would do so against their own CDC’s guidance."

Not the Covid-19, but polioviruses have been detected in more wastewater near New York city*.

Take doctor's advice, vaccinating the unvaccinated children. Believe in science, not those silly ideology and misinformation.   

Pandemic is over folks, Biden said so.

 That's right. The pandemic is over but Covid is still alive especially for those who are unvaccinated.

Life goes on for some of us.

Biden's statement reflects how much of the population is behaving.  People who are most knowledgeable about public health continue to be concerned about covid.  Conversely, those who lack expertise are treating covid as a minor inconvenience.  For months, deaths and hospitalizations have been trending downward.  But there is still room for improvements if more people take advantage of vaccines, treatments and masks.

Currently, covid causes almost 3 times more deaths than the flu.  Living with them means getting regular vaccination.  Commonwealth fund estimates that if 80% of US population receives updated boosters by the end of 2022, this could prevent over 89,000 covid deaths, 936,000 hospitalizations and $53 billion in medical cost in the next 6 months.

Welp, that's logical. Masks do not prevent the spread of covid 100%, but it's been proven they do reduce the spread of covid virus from infected persons!  Trouble is covid can be asymptomatic.  People who refuse to wear a mask may be infected without being aware and then spread the virus at rates much higher than an infected person who wears a mask to stifle the spread of the virus they carry.  The way I understand it that has always been the main thrust. Reducing spread.

But to get ignorant, reluctant people (ie, mostly those who reject everything stated that may result in a personal inconvenience) to wear the masks that can help protect the uninfected public, they had to tell them that wearing a mask was for their benefit. (common masks actually do help the wearer too but to a smaller degree. The better masks are much more protective for the user)

Covid rates from Asian nations known for adherence to wearing masks, as well as those countries which quickly adopted the policy and gained high adherence levels, proves the point about mask wearing.

 Hi Zeus, you may be familiar with my work.... basically called out everything that was going to happen with covid and the economy since January '21.  Made everyone like Kelly, Foops, Third and the bot brethren look like fools for the past year and a half.  It's pretty bad, I haven't even been around much but I'm back to gloat and have a good time with my peeps that I've been missing.  

Would you care to comment on pfizer's recent admission that they did not test any vaccines on the transmissibility amongst humans ???
