So when a public company craps on citizens, THEN it is blame the government time...sounds pretty stupid to me. Not sure how we swapped to the wall topic but the issues for me have been the cost, feasibility and especially the cost/benefit of the wall. Trump used the wall to anger you guys and it sort of worked but he never intended to build it and what was built was shoddy garbage and that was the low hanging fruit section, you know there are over a thousand miles needed...and yes he did say Mexico would pay and no he did not explain how it would be monitored and how much that would cost. If Trump ran his businesses the way he ran this wall scheme he would be where he was during the casino days, in a world of hurt. If he were to take his proposal to a bank for funding, with the lack of details and clarity and no cost forecast or budget, how far would he have got obtaining funding? The true cost of that stupid wall is in the multi TRILLIONS, its such a waste of time and accomplishes so little. It was a hairbrained scheme to make you hate illegals and vote Republican. You guys should be mad at NS on this chemicals topic, not Biden or the government, him showing up with cheeseburgers and water is not going to do much more than a few minutes of time wasting...there needs to be action by the company and for the company to take responsibility and pay for their mess, but they wont and they will play lawyer ball as long as they can to avoid the financial pain they deserve to receive.
This is where your logic is flawed.
If someone who leans conservative likes some of what Trump does than your a cult whorshipping MAGA moron. If you agree with the Supreme Court overturning Roe vs Wade than your an anti-abortionist. If you dislike government over-regulation than your a hater of ALL government regulation.
So easy for you that way, isn't it. Idenity politics.
But life doesn't work that way. I liked Roe vs Wade overturned, get the Federal govt out of the way. Let the PEOPLE of each state decide. And many have this past election. Democracy as it should be.
And government over-regulation always seems to come from the Left. Had many years dealing with OSHA. A needed gov watchdog, has many good guidelines and rules. But man can they be an unleashed bunch of idiots if you let them. Case in point would be exposer limits on gases and toxins. They go before Congress and ask for several limits to be lowered. Congress reviews data, hears from all sides, and decides no on several requests. So OSHA says FU Congress we're going to use the "General Duty" clause and require a private institutes recommendations anyways.
Homeland Security from 9/11 another easliy out of control govt watchdog.
The Clinton era lowering of arsenic levels in ground/well water. Very little if any data suggesting 50 ppb was too high. The real target was strip mining by environmentalists. The result was billions of dollars needlessly spent on rural water wells throughout the country to remove, concentrate, and landfill arsenic. They could have dropped it 20ppb, but no, had to go to 10ppb. IMO, that was stupid.
Shit like this chases manufacturing right out of the country.
