Somehow Dominion was able to subpoena and access text and email messages from Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Lou Dobbs, and their producers calling Mike Lindell, Sidney Powell, Rudy Giuliani, and Team Trump all kinds of four letter words. There are texts from all of these people hating and questioning the liars they were simultaneously putting on air and refusing to question on air.
Actual malice is a high standard, but when you have texts from Tucker Carlson saying stuff like this, then airing more lies about Dominion on air, I think they are truly *ucked.
• On Nov. 21, Carlson sent a text saying it was “shockingly reckless” to accuse Dominion of fraud without some proof, which, he insisted, “there isn’t.” He also referred to Powell as a “nutcase.”

Business model of Fox news is to give viewers what they want. Problem is that Fox knew the truth but prefer to lie. Now courts let lawsuits against Fox to move forward. Eventually, most lawsuits are usually settled outside of court.

And they stand to lose a lot more than just a massive lawsuit, regardless whether settled behind doors or not.

1) This is 100% true I believe it completely and I hope there will be consequences but for sure those teleprompt reading idiots do what they are told because it is their job and how they make their living..
2) It goes on with BOTH sides, dont kid yourselves or take too big of a victory lap because all media clowns are just fronting the narrative that their bosses force them to because its all about the money and that is the only thing that matters to ALL of these outlets.

More evidence that Fox "News" (LOL) is actually Fox Bullshxt and Propaganda.I hope the fines are massive and don't get overturned by the RWNJs on the Supreme Court.
There's a saying about reaping what one sows

They tried cheating America and all it's citizens of a fair election and it's results, lied and continued to promote the lie even as they knew the whole truth(that includes hannity, tucker, ingraham, and the murdoch's).All so they wouldn't lose viewers and therefore revenue. They almost tore this country apart ,and basically promoted the republicans sh*tting on our constitution, just so they wouldn't hurt their snowflake viewers, and thus lose money.Ya,the party of law and order my balls,it's quite evident all of fox and the whole republican party couldn't tell the truth if this country depended on it.What a bunch of traitorous pieces of shit.

Where's the usual bunch of uneducated trumpers who are always b*tching and whining about "Fake News".Here we have the very people who these clowns listen to,behind closed doors or texting each other that they knew it was all bull sh*t,but were telling their viewers otherwise, that's the definition of fake news.
You got tucker calling for a co-worker to be fired after she correctly fact checked trumps lies about a rigged election."Please get her fired" tucker said in a group text with ingraham and hannity, about the fox reporter who did the fact checking. When talking about her telling viewers about the lies tucker said,"It needs to stop immediately, like tonight. It's measurably hurting the company. The stock price is down. Not a joke".
So where are these "Fake News" warriors now,not a fricken peep out of em,what a bunch of spineless cowards.

I think there is a difference between pushing a narrative or being biased toward one side and flat out pushing a serious lie that undermines democracy, which you know is lie, yet you continuously peddle the BS anyway.

While Wally does raise good points, your point here is the key and by far the bigger issue.
A common mistake is false equivalency. Yes, all sides are guilty of "fouls" - in my experience many times more than we think one side (or the other) commits not only MORE FOULS but more grievous

In this particular instance of FRAUD, FOX NEWS clearly falls into the latter category

The false equivalency is key - Fox News is probably guilty of actual malice. MSNBC is not.
The GOP for decades has always said that the media (that they don’t have monetary investments in) has a liberal bias. This lie has always been aimed at getting GOP political operatives more market share in what used to be an unbiased media market. Since the early 2000s, the majority of talk radio and the majority of cable news has skewed GOP.
Think about it - Fox News has bragged that they are the superior network in ratings for decades. They then whine about being overwhelmed by the liberal media? Yeah, the biggest name in News who claims #1 status is the victim of its competitors?
It’s nonsensical. It doesn’t hold up under scrutiny. It’s Fox News!

I dont see this as black and white, one side versus another. I think all media attempts to profit off a narrative and so whatever it takes to make money to that audience that is what they all do.
I remember watching CNN during the riots in Atlanta and I was shocked at the crap coming out of Don Lemon's mouth and I was sure he would lose his job after saying some of the awful things he did, he is one of the largest dividers on tv today, I cannot stand listening to his rationalizing slant on almost anything to do with race. While I dislike the harsh angry approach that the right uses to stupify lol the public, it goes on no matter what the political affiliation is. What is the worst is that people out there, people right here in this forum actually think that one group is superior to another and that things are black and white, that is completely false and the more we follow the media and their loud speaker personas the worse society will continue to be, the more divided we will be and nobody will be better for it. The only group which gains from division is those who profit from it...and that is the media and corporations, not you and me.

Nah, Bloomberg News isn’t pushing a political narrative. They only care about money. That’s why it’s my favorite network, just follow the money. NPR’s business shows are also straightforward, they just follow the money. If you care about investments and honesty, I recommend you tune into both.

Ive followed Bloomy for several decades and they are more BUSINESS focused in their narrative but even they have a slight liberal bias, but nothing like CNN. And the comment I made stands for Bloomy just as much as for CNN, Bloomy services financial firms with their hardware and software, they sell ads and have a client based business so they also have money as the main root for how they conduct business too.
What is nice about Bloomy is all the clowns you see on CNBC and the other garbage market channels are not there, it is less about Cramer and being obnoxious and more just reporting the headlines of business transactions and financial data, its more centered towards the markets and less about the schtick.

Fox news chronic lying is the exception rather than the norm among cable news sources. Afterall, Dominion is suing Fox but not other sources. Sadly, Americans are more distrustful of media than people in other countries. Distrust doesn't mean they are better in distinguishing between what's false and true. Problem is when lies are believed instead of the truth.

Even if they were required to have a disclaimer their audience would just conclude that Fox was forced to put it up as part of the Deep State’s agenda to suppress the Truth, and so disregard it, the same way we would disregard a signed confession to war crimes from a Ukrainian soldier in Russian custody. Also I don’t think Fox gives a shit about what the Left believes. Their target is the right, and they are hitting the bullseye with their bullshit. Their audience has been prepped to think that pissing on the Libs is more important that being factual.
Right now, most of the media is talking about how FOX presenters and executives knowingly lied to their viewers. They were exchanging texts about how the stolen election narrative was “bullshit” and “nuts”. Then, they were staring right down the camera and telling their viewers the election was stolen.
It’s led to all the craziness we’ve seen, and we would like to say culminating in Jan 6th, except that the madness has still continued so it wasn’t a culmination
I’d like to think most people who hear these facts are appalled, and it’s a good thing that these details are coming out. But, it’s all only because they brought in the name of a corporation. A corporation with deep enough pockets to sue. Otherwise everything they did is absolutely fine!
As much as Americans like to believe that the specific line of freedom of speech in US law is optimal for democracy, it demonstrably is not.
