Mayors from 1049 cities around the world committed to slashing greenhouse gas emissions in half by the end of this decade on Tuesday, indicating an increased sense of urgency for urban centers on the front lines of the climate crisis.
Global warming is an existential threat, definitively not some sort of left wing "hoax" spouted out from cracked ideological misinformation. Earth is our only home, we are not ready for interplanetary immigration just yet. We need to save this planet now, before it's too late.
we can only hope the damage caused by several world leaders including donald chump is not irreversable

World health organization calls global warming the greatest health threat facing humanity. Potentially, a greater threat than pandemics which are usually temporary and eventually become endemic in the long term. The ability of climate models to predict climate change has gone from being criticized decades ago to winning a Nobel prize for physics in 2021.

“We showed up," Biden added. "And by showing up we’ve had a profound impact, I think, on how the rest of the world is looking positively at the US again.”

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) —
Biden has been determined to demonstrate to the world that the U.S. is back in the global effort against climate change, after his predecessor Donald Trump pulled the U.S. — the world’s largest economy and second-biggest climate polluter — out of the landmark 2015 Paris climate accord.
Putting the U.S. on the path to halve its own output of coal, oil and natural gas pollution by 2050, as his climate legislation seeks to do, “demonstrates to the world the United States is not only back at the table, it hopefully can lead by the power of our example,” Biden said Monday.

I am reading where the Amazon rainforest canopy deforestation increased by 33% so far this year. The Amazon is critical to helping offset the negative effects of human caused CO2 emissions. Deforestation in the Amazon has increased to alarming levels under the Bolosonaro government and is reported now to be at a critical tipping point.

In August, the UN's Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) published its authoritative report which concluded the planet is quickly approaching 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial temperatures -- a threshold scientist say the world should stay under to avoid the worst consequences of the climate crisis.
An analysis by Climate Action Tracker of the world's current policies showed that the Earth is currently on track for 2.7 degrees Celsius of warming.

This should be a concern to most nations. The ones which will hurt the worst from climate change are expected to be those with large coastal populations. And they say it will happen this century.

Yes. Apparently carbon pollution has warmed the planet so much that, in addition to billions of tonnes of ice having melted over and above normal ranges (thus potentially shifting the North Atlantic current) it actually rained in Greenland in August -- the first time since recording began over 70 years ago. Scientists understand this is no small thing.

99% of the people that were surveyed had no idea on how to fix any of the issues they have issues with. They had no comment when asked how to go about fixing the climate. They just regurgitated what they've been told without doing their own research.
