You also see Ketchican Alaska, a bit further south of Kodiak had a record low on December 26th, yes the same day. "Water pipes, freezing fuel lines, freezing trees going down into power lines. You mean like arsonists setting fires in the warm dry seasons. Setting fires to forests that are not maintained. You know what happens to your teeth and you don't do proper maintenance? People can control maintenance but people can not fully control arsonists.

Likely a liberal loving, college professor, climate fear monger trying to show the world how global warming is starting fires. Whoops.

MSM the entire time, including the gov of  CA kept blaming global warming as the reason for the fires. Come to find out, it's one of their own.

The climate warming is no hoax. The fact that man has contributed and continues to contribute is no hoax either.

The question is how the WORLD deals with it. How much can we actually change it? And what actually will change as a result of warming?

If we KNOW wildfires will be more common and contribute to global warming why in the hell are we not putting resources into PREVENTING WILDFIRES???? Why wait til they happen and then point the finger at global warming?? Political agenda is why. an_light

Are we going to trust the same folks who said; "We have a plan!! We will stop COVID!!!" "White Supremecy is our greatest threat". "Jan. 6th was worse than 9/11 and Pearl Harbor." Inflation highest since 1982. Store shelves lacking goods, etc. Ahhhh, not me!

Great Lakes are dropping--CLIMATE CHANGE!!an_getaway Great Lakes are rising--CLIMATE CHANGE!!!an_getaway

China continues to be the WORLDS BIGGEST POLLUTER yet we ignore that. How's that supposed to work and WHY do we ignore that fact?? ANSWER; POLITICAL AGENDA.

TAKE THE F-ING POLITICS OUT AND IT MAKES NO SENSE.

We (the US) are moving to less and less green house gasses. Others are not. I am all for electric cars. Windmills need a technology boost, remind me of the first home satellite dishes, huge and expensive. Like covid lockdowns, don't force it and make things worse in other areas. Let technology lead the way.

The world's oceans saw record warming
in 2021 as climate change continues

    YAHOO NEWS -
Thanks to the relentless pace at which humans are adding greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, ocean temperatures in 2021 were “the hottest ever recorded by humans,” according to a report published Tuesday in Advances in Atmospheric Sciences.

Since 1958, the researchers found, the world’s oceans have warmed at a steady pace. But that rate sharply accelerated in the late 1980s, warming eight times as fast as in the decades prior.

“The increased concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere from human activities trap heat within the climate system and result in massive changes in the climate system,” the report states.

That 0.234 F is over the last 100 years.

Wonder what the accuracy +/- of temperature collecting was 50, 75 years ago compared to today??

    Hmmmmmm.

    Imagine this happening now; https://www.mlive.com/news/2022/01/remembering-the-great-blizzard-of-1978-when-winter-packed-a-wallop.html

Yes, I'm so freaking old I was there. My best friend was in a 4x4 club, I had a snowmobile. Together we worked with the emergency management to help the elderly, dig them out, get them persciptions, etc.

If this happened now Biden and Kerry would be talking non-stop it is climate change!!!

It's  a season called winter... this season brings cold, snow, bad weather... now if this weather hit HAWAII INSTEAD of the north east ...then I would be likely to agree that we do have some climate issues... but it hit where it is supposed to... so...all is normal...

    CNN -

Biden's administration will face perhaps the most serious
legal challenge to climate policies later this month in a
US Supreme Court case  that could limit the EPA's ability
to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from power plants.

It's almost impossible to get home owner insurance for those of us that live on the coast in South Florida. Just today, 2 insurers sent letters to customers noting their coverage will end May 1st.

Ok, so that's a business decision based on risk. I get it.

But don't try to sell us your car or health insurance throughout the state! You're not dependable.

needed to act now to best position ourselves for the future,”
said Rick Spinrad, Ph.D., NOAA Administrator.

Here are the main takeaways from the full report, which you can find on NOAA's website.

    • 10-12" of sea level rise along the U.S. coast in the next 30 years
(Equal to amount measured over the last 100 years)

    • More damaging flooding projected
(Tidal and surge heights to increase and reach further inland ten times more often)
OBVIOUSLY this incurs massive financial costs.

    • Emissions matter! Failing to curb future emissions could cause 3.5' to 7' sea level rise by the end of the century (incurring even more devastating financial costs)
