Al Gore was crying wolf 2 decades ago. NOTHING HE HAS CLAIMED HAS COME EVEN REMOTELY TRUE. That's why people bash it. I am not saying we don't need to move towards clean energy, but the left believes it'll happen over night. We are not even remotely close to having the infrastructure to support clean energy and clean energy is not even remotely close to sustaining the needs of the US and the world at this time. Maybe in 100 years we'll make a dent. Solar is garbage and way over priced. Logistics only really work in the desert climates for solar.
How's that climate changing train in CA coming along? They blew past the budget 5x and are still not even close to finishing. Yet, they used that train as a reason to fix the climate. Their proposal is not even close to being reasonable.
What do you do with a electric car when the battery dies? Replace the battery like you would a gas engine? How much does a new battery cost? Would the car even be worth trying to save? Want me to go on?

According to Nature journal, climate change deniers think the world shouldn't do anything about the climate crisis. They attack solutions such as clean energy and policies that limit carbon emissions. They paint scientists as alarmists, media as biased and environmentalists as hysterical cult.

California faces another year of drought and elevated wildfire risk due to climate change, expert says
SAN FRANCISCO —
For the nation’s most populous state, drought and extreme wildfires remain in the forecast.
Like much of the West, California endured extreme drought conditions and another grueling fire season in 2021. The rainy season, however, got off to a promising start, with above-normal precipitation in October and December. But hopes of an end to the drought gripping most of the Western U.S., which scientists have linked to climate change, quickly evaporated as record dry conditions took hold in California in January and February.
record dry conditions again in january and feb
bad news
caused by climate change
made worse by climate change deniers

NOTHING HE HAS CLAIMED HAS COME EVEN REMOTELY TRUE. That's why people bash it. I am not saying we don't need to move towards clean energy, but the left believes it'll happen over night.
According to Scientific American review, climate change models have been mostly accurate despite what climate change deniers claim. Recent Nobel prizes have been won by research on climate change projections made decades ago. Overall, scientists tend to be cautious and have under estimated the adverse effects of global warming. Preparing for the future is better than nothing because the costs of climate change can only grow exponentially over time. United nations analysis found that benefits of fighting climate change exceed costs. Polls show majority of Americans and people worldwide want government to do more to fight climate change.

Al Gore- "The North Pole will be ice-free in the summer by 2013 because of man-made global warming. Al Gore, 2009,"
Obama- has a house on the beach. Not afraid of climate change obviously.
Liberals- if you don't agree with them, you're a racists or climate denier. Maybe the libs are the actual racists and climate freaks masking their hatred by labeling everyone else what they are.
The earth is not going to over heat. Water is not going to cover the entire costs. Storms are not going to be 5x larger than they were in 1850. The sun is not going to power the world.

“I think the big picture is that this year is almost certainly not going to be enough to really change the long-term drought conditions,” UCLA climate scientist Daniel Swain told Yahoo News.
“California is still going to be in a severe drought this summerunless something extraordinary happens in March."

California faces another year of drought and elevated wildfire risk due to climate change, expert says
“California is still going to be in a severe drought this summer unless something extraordinary happens in March."
How dry was the start of 2022 in the state?
An index of weather stations located near reservoirs in Northern California reported just 1.74 inches of precipitation in January and February, according to the San Jose Mercury News, just 10% of the average amount and the lowest tallied since the state started keeping records in 1921.
“The long-term drought conditions will likely persist into summer, and we’ll likely see a drought-influenced summer wildfire setup this year,” Swain said. “I think the even more relevant thing is that you have medium-term drought in California that’s still going to be there. We can’t say exactly how severe it will be this summer because it depends on what happens over the next couple of months, but it will still be there in some form.”

“The long-term trend is toward longer and more severe fire seasons with larger and more intense fires,” Swain said.
“That’s certainly been reflected in the real-world observations in the past couple of years in California.”

“In our economy, transportation is the biggest contributor to climate change,” Buttigieg noted on Monday.
“So that also means transportation has to be a part of the solution to the climate crisis. Public transit is one of the best ways to do it.
Administration officials emphasized that electric and hydrogen-fueled buses and trucks would not only contribute less to climate change but also dramatically reduce local air pollution, particularly in areas with a disproportionate cluster of vehicle exhaust from highways and garages. These areas tend to be lower-income and are more likely to be communities of color.

Public transit is most feasible in big cities with high population density. To encourage more people to accept inconvenience of public transit, improvements in quality of service may be required. For riders, cost savings, frequency of service and close proximity are important. Building of expensive rapid transit lines usually need financial help from federal government. But for years, US has been under investing in infrastructure. Fortunately, US is making improvements now.

Very good points. US is now starting to make progress on infrastructure with the bipartisan passing of Joe Biden Infrastructure bill. Absolutely nothing was done in 4 years under Trump, despite repeeated promises, which he obviously failed to keep. Biden moved on it at the 9 month mark. These things take time due largely to state governments but they are all preparing as we speak
