Trump overstated net worth by at least $3.6 billion a year, N.Y. attorney general says

Sept. 8 (UPI) -- According to a Friday court filing by
New York Attorney General Letitia James, former
President Donald Trump overstated his net worth
by at least $3.6 billion per year since 2011.

Friday's filing is the latest in New York's civil lawsuit
against Trump, his eldest sons and top Trump executives.

The filing is part of a $250 million civil lawsuit
alleging that Trump systematically and
fraudulently overstated his assets' value.

   James said in Friday's filing that Trump's net worth
is between $1.9 billion and $2.6 billion less per year
than he has claimed it was since 2011.

Key difference between democrats and republicans.  Democrats don't object to Hunter's prosecution.  In contrast, republicans act as if any investigation of Trump is an offense.  GOP is a cult while democrats are a coalition.

Right!  If one really stands for the principle of "law & order" and "nobody is above the law"  then this includes trump in that question.  Intelligent people worthy of respect stand for these righteous principles in any country.

Then all the republicans and trump are always stating that all trumps charges are because Biden is pushing certain offices or departments or grand juries to do the investigations or trials into trump's actions.When in fact trump is doing that exact thing,pushing mccarthy to start the impeachment inquiry into the Biden's actions.

Harvard constitutional law professor Laurence Tribe
said Trump “just threw his whole BS ‘just following
my lawyers’ advice’ defense under the bus.”

Trump acknowledged to Welker on “Meet the Press”
that he’d ignored the attorneys who told him that
he should concede in 2020.

“I didn’t respect them,” Trump said.

“No, let me correct that: not just under the bus
but under a roaring, speeding, ginormous freight train,”
Tribe added on X, formerly Twitter.

“It’s said sometimes that only a fool hires himself
as a lawyer to defend himself. I don’t think Trump
is a fool, but he’s certainly a narcissist,” he noted.

“He just has to say that he is responsible for everything.
He doesn’t depend on anybody,” Tribe added.
“That’s all very nice politically. But in the courtroom,
he’s just blown that defense, the defense that
I was just relying on my lawyers and therefore
I didn’t have a state of mind that it takes to commit
these crimes. He’s just blown that out of the water!!”

That is the case here, yes.  But ....this is concerning for a few reasons.....to me the worst result for Constitution-supporters, anti-fascists, anti-racists, and all my fellow independents who are devout anti-trumpism is that his admission could very well lead to his conviction & incarceration (which he so richly deserves, even if only secluded house arrest).....which might in effect deny the left from another rout in the presidential vote   With the sex-offender who is the mob boss of the RICO organized crime enterprise as the champion of the republican party, the left has a near guaranteed win in 2024.  That near guarantee could be in jeopardy (maybe) if trump is convicted and the GOP finally come to their senses and nominates a decent human being (ie, virtually anybody other than trump) 

It's an odd twist, but the BEST thing for the left and particularly for America is trump wins the GOP nomination and any criminal convictions are delayed until AFTER he suffers his inevitable humiliating defeat in November 2024.  It's a win-win then!  America wins because trump doesn't! ....just like 2020!

Was an interesting speech but as already asserted it won't amount to much in the way of effect since right wing media wouldn't carry the feed and allow their "freedom to chose" audiences and readers to make their own choice on the matter
