 Well cd, here's the thing also: inntelligentpeple OPPOSE fascism...Democrats OPPOSE fascism....it's downright scary, not just because of  the inherent racism and xenophobia, but the restrictions to freedoms we currently have.....so we OPPOSE it and are annoyed, indeed alarmed at anyone who would even think to go there.

And THAT is exactly why the MAGAS seem to embrace it (either directly or by silent compliance with it)  In short, whatever the Liberals disapprove of, the MAGAS will turn toward it....and conversely whatever the Liberals are IN FAVOR of, like say women's rights, then the MAGAS automatically oppose it just on principle (not merit)

curious, what percentage of the 77 million popular vote count would you say qualifies as "MAGA" ??  2016 vs. 2020 vs. 2024 voting demographics vary from each of those POTUS elections.  Even if just based off the massive swing state sweep we saw I'm curious to peoples opinions on this.  

I mean, just cause you voted for Trump doesn't make you MAGA so what percentage of Americans should truly be lumped into that category?

Great post and 100 percent true.  I have said this before am glad am going towards the end years and not being my 20's right now going forward.  I truly feel sorry for the younger generations that will never get to experience the times of growing up in 60's , 70's and 80's and just how different people were back then. I hope it ends up turning out well for the younger generations, but i would be lying if i didnt admit am afraid for them, especially with all the hate both parties have for each other.
