to b clear that applies to a very large percentage of republicans    but not all .   i know a republican who is a decent guy . he believes in abortion rights , saving our environment by weaning us off big oil , opposes chump and his legacy of crime and corruption, gerrymandering by either side , elction deniers ,and partisan voting just to own the libs 

if he ran for office he would be branded a rino , harrassed ,and threatened by members of the gop

Another frivolous GOP lawsuit
tossed due to 'no evidence'

A Michigan judge has tossed a new Republican lawsuit
that sought to force absentee voters in Detroit to
recast their ballots in person, arguing it would
"disenfranchise tens of thousands of eligible voters."

   The lawsuit, filed last month by Kristina Karamo,
the GOP candidate for secretary of state, had argued
that Detroit's absentee voter system violated state law,
citing purported issues with signature verification and
ballot drop boxes, local news outlet Bridge Michigan
reported. She sought an injunction that would have
required those who already voted by mail
to do so again at a local polling station.

Karamo was endorsed by disgraced ex-President Trump,
who at the time encouraged her to "check out the fake
election results that took place in the city of Detroit."

But in a ruling on Monday, Judge Timothy Kenny —
noting that some 60,000 people had already cast
their vote — wrote that plaintiffs had failed to present
"any shred of evidence" concerning the potential for
fraud that would justify a last-minute injunction.

I have one set of family friends like that.  Good people.  We actually have similar goals for the country but in a few cases it's simply a differing view on how best to achieve it.

With MAGA, it's only their way or the highway.

Why is vote counting taking so long? 

Since World War II, the party of the president has typically
performed very poorly in the first midterm of an administration,
with an average loss of 26 seats in the House
and loss of  4 seats in the Senate.

When presidential approval ratings fall to where President Biden’s
numbers have been – between the high-30s and mid-40s this year –
that normally spells MASSIVE defeat in the first midterms.
For approval vs. results examples,
•  Donald Trump (38%) in 2018, lost 40 seats,
•  Obama (46%) in 2010, lost 63 seats,
•  Bill Clinton (41%) in 1994, lost 52 seats

Besides Biden’s low approval rates, plus high inflation,
plus turbulent financial markets, and other issues which
clearly favored Republicans looming large in most polls,
the BIG RED WAVE so many anticipated didn’t happen!

It's been barely a ripple. 

Three major groups have contributed to the overperformance by the Dems in this midterm and bucked the historical trend: woman, Gen Z and young voters, I suppose.
