I am using 'international' to mean several countries need to form a pact or something to fix it.
Otherwise it is simply a 'national' problem -- the nation that is trying to prevent the illegals from entering.
It is that ONE country's responsibility alone to fix it. The USA needs to stop blaming other countries and asking them for help -- the USA alone has created this problem and allowed it to worsen; they ALONE can fix it.
Sure, they are coming from multiple countries. But when it was largely just illegal Mexicans -- it was not deemed a 'bi-national' or 'international' problem. It was still an USA problem to prevent the Mexican illegals from entering.
The USA does NOT need any information on illegals at all, fingerprints or criminal backgrounds -- nothing at all. They only need to know they are illegal. Then they need to be deported.
The assumption is that an illegal without a criminal past would be 'allowed' into the country -- tacitly, or not. They should NOT be allowed in OR to stay.
The faulty part of this is that they are not catching all of the illegals -- let alone all of the illegals with a criminal past. Once they are in, they can become anyone and from anywhere. You cannot just demand a database from every other country in the world on all of their citizens just because they might potentially one day be an illegal in your country. You then run into the same reciprocation issue the USA ran into with the visa problem.
Yes, it is a Biden issue, absolutely. It was a Trump issue when he was in office. No matter who is in office, it is their job to address it. For certain, IF YOU made it worse then it IS YOUR PROBLEM as well. Biden is in charge AND he made it worse -- so it is his issue. How each handles it is to their credit or their blame.
NO, again it is NOT an international issue. IT is each individual country's issue. Some handle it; some do not handle it.
Certain countries you can enter illegally with little effort or problem and some you cannot do it -- and if you do you would face dire consequences.
Why would the UK blame Biden? That does not make sense -- he is not in charge of the UK.
Make it make sense. ABSOLUTELY, they blame THEIR own leaders! They do not blame the international leaders. They blame their guys that are in charge of their ONE country.
What is amusing is that it is a very, very partisan issue. ONLY one party is even remotely interested in a solution AND it is NOT you guys on the Left.
The issue could largely be solved simply by enforcing the laws, rules and securing the border.
If the leaders of the USA in Congress -- with pressure from Biden and the citizenry -- would act, this could be resolved.
The fortitude is just not there to get it done, yet.
