No case for withdrawal on the grounds of national security according to House foreign affairs. No consultation with US allies. Not notifying congress is a violation of National defense authorization act. Trump continues to make the world more dangerous.
Previously, Trump blunders by abandoning Iran nuclear deal the most important peace achievement of the last decade. Reckless since United nations inspections confirm Iran compliance. Abandoning International nuclear forces treaty is another blow to arms control. Instead Trump seeks non-deal with North Korea remaining a military threat. US credibility has suffered under Trump and most countries don't support his crazy foreign policies. Now US is neither trusted by allies nor feared by enemies.

According to Vox, Trump tries to frame fight against coronavirus as a war. But if this is a war, Trump is the worst commander-in-chief saying "I take no responsibility at all." He has no real plan to defeat the pandemic. He continually undercuts authority of generals (public health experts). He fails to give front line troops (healthcare workers) vital equipment needed. He divides the country while unity is needed to support war effort (via mitigation efforts). More Americans have died from coronavirus than during Vietnam, Afganistan and Iraq wars combined.
Despite war being far from over, Trump is declaring victory by calling for premature reopening of US economy. According to Washingtonpost, his war on reality is dangerous in trying to create the illusion of a return to normal life and not doing necessary steps to make that happen. So Trump falsely claims enough testing despite public health experts insisting testing is insufficient to safely reopen economy. He threatens to pull GOP conventions if facilities don't allow big crowds although American lives would be in peril. He demands legal protection for companies to reopen without fear of lawsuits from sick workers.
In spite of all that.........
