The announcement came minutes after the national Teamsters declined to make a presidential endorsement on either candidate.
Teamsters Joint Councils 7 and 42 — which are made up of 39 local unions representing 300,000 members in California, Nevada, Hawaii and Guam — wrote in a statement that Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz have a history of supporting expanded labor protections for workers, like the proposed Protect the Right to Organize Act and a Minnesota law that will ban employers from forcing workers to attend anti-labor meetings.
“Teamster members work and live in cities as well as in rural communities, come from diverse backgrounds, and have different views, but Joint Council 7 and 42 Teamsters refuse to be divided by extremist political forces or greedy corporations that want to see us fail,” said Teamsters Joint Council 7 President Peter Finn.

One week after Kamala handed trump a humiliating beatdown on the debate stage - watched worldwide by nearly 100 MILLION (includes TV, online and streaming) - the odds of Kamala Harris defeating the racist/fraud/rapist/convicted felon has risen at Bet365 from -110 prior to the beatdown, up to -138 (Sept 18)
Her odds of winning the popular vote have risen from -350 to -500
**NOTE: just like the stock markets, we know from past experience that these numbers will bounce up and down some over the coming weeks. They typicall do! We will have a much more clear view in the final days of October.
I expect these odds/poll-numbers to moderate downward some, but likely to still stay a near coin-flip (with Harris holding a thin edge)

Only 5 out of 46 presidents have come into office after losing the popular vote. Due to flawed electoral college, losers of popular vote are sometimes lucky to win presidency. This one of the reasons why US is a failing democracy. As population increases, states with small populations are over represented in government while states with large populations are under represented. But in a democracy, majority should rule instead of minority.

Different ways to forecast election results. Nate Silver and Five thirty eight rely on models based on polls. Predictions of election betting odds are based on gambling markets such as bet fair, poly market and predict it. University of B.C. research found that gamblers tend to be more accurate than polls. Especially in final week before election. However historian Lichtman prediction is based on strength and performance of incumbent party.

But in a democracy, majority should rule instead of minority. Which is why America was founded, and operates, as a Constitutional Republic
Like most nations, U.S. is neither a pure republic not a pure democracy. Instead U.S. is a democratic republic. Constitution was written to foster majority rule. Not to enable minority rule.

“Unite for America” livestream tonight supporting Kamala for president
The Harris campaign views the “Unite for America” livestream event hosted by Oprah Winfrey tonight as a “big moment” to reach a broad range of persuadable voters, according to campaign officials.
Oprah, in collaboration with a group known as Win With Black Women, will hold a massive, virtual rally, in Farmington Hills, Michigan, aimed at uniting groups of Vice President Harris’ supporters to turn out to vote in November’s election.

Data scientist Thomas Miller of Northwestern university predicts a Harris presidency. His approach is based on betting markets instead of polls. Gamblers have more incentive to be accurate because they are risking money. Whereas polls are limited snapshots that might be outdated. He tells fortune magazine that betting markets are best in predicting wisdom of the crowd.

@thirdperson
Unfortunately, back during the days of the original 13 colonies they didn't have a magic crystal ball to clue them in as to how populations would migrate around the expansive new country. HUGE flaw in the Constitution. However, since the republicans benefit from having this HUGE FLAW in place it is extremely unlikely to change to a fair/representative system in our lifetime...
For example,
California representing a population of over 39 MILLION gets 2 US senators.
Wyoming representing about 1/67 of California also gets 2 US senators.
If HALF the population of Wyoming migrated elsewhere, they would still have 2 US senators.

According to Huffpost, republican Michael Steele predicts that Harris might flip North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Abortion issue matters to women who outnumber men voters. Key difference is Trump error in thinking he can win with just far right voters while Harris appeals to a broader group of voters.

Three former Maine GOP chairs endorse Kamala Harris!
RS - Robert A.G. Monks, Ken Cole and Ted O’Meara, despite previously running the GOP in Maine, united Monday on crossing the aisle.
"We led our party at a time when candidates of both parties were not only civil and believed in the rule of law, but, we believe, had the best interests of the state and entire nation foremost in their hearts," they wrote. "We see these same positive characteristics are on full display in Vice President Harris and her candidacy! Sadly, they are completely lacking in her opponent, former President [now a felon] Donald Trump."
