I couldn't agree more, instead of looking in the mirror they just double down on stupid. Until the freaks on the right wing are marginalized they will continue to lose and lose bad. They demonize and run rough-shot over anybody who even attempts to try to change the party. See Ron Paul. If something doesn't change, I wouldn't be surprised if they lose congress in 2014.  Its a disaster of epic proportions and its gonna get worse before it gets better.

But I wish there was a more liberal / progressive president.  I dont think Obama does enough.  He is not liberal enough for me.

I am actually happy to be honest. 

But my bigger question is what does the republican party do from here? The really need to rethink their message and approach or it will be rough times ahead for them.  Our country is changing. We are not a bunch of middle aged / older white dudes anymore.

i'm not optimistic.  i remember looking at that table for the republican debate.  most of them were circus freaks and the only two normal people were paul and huntsman and they were the only two that never got their foot in the door.  it's crazy.  it's like being deranged is a prerequisite for real consideration for the republican nomination.  no one else need apply.

same thing was said in 2004 and what do they do- cain, perry, romney, santorum and bachmannia.  as tilt said, they doubled down on crazy.  who's running this operation.
