Obama plummeting back down below -300 after last night's debacle. He must have thought he was going to be interviewed by Oprah, because the arrogant ass was ill-prepared.
Well - here we are a full 8 months after this thread started...
And the line is hovering just about where it was back then.
And I still think it is a great bet - probably even more today than back then. Ohio is looking more and more like Obama, and so is Nevada. I dont see a way back for Romney if he loses Ohio.
It might just be the auto bailout that wins the election for Obama in the end.
We will know in 12 days. I hope to be making some large withdrawals 2 weeks from today.

Ohio is definitely the key. I don't believe any Republican has ever been elected without winning Ohio. I took Dems at -200 last week and can get them at -180 today. What do you think Van? Worth a big shot at that price?
Obama was all the way up to -525 before the first debate, so there looks to be great value as public perception has changed. Predictably, the cable news programs are telling us that the race is nearly a deadheat. I suspect it is not really as close as they are leading us to believe, as a "close race" helps their ratings. My only fear is the voting machines that cannot be trusted.
Are you still adding on at approximately-180?

Yes, Obama could still reach the magic 270 without Ohio, but Va. and Florida look to be trending towards Romney, and if that holds I wouldn't want to rely on a sweep of the remaining toss-up states.

I cannot see Romney getting any quarter in Ohio........
Obama rolls.... I expect the first exit polling to heavily favor Romney (coming out of FLA), and present another opportunity to buy Obama on the live markets; potentially at even money or better.
I am a conservative in beliefs on most things, but no point in backing a nag in this race.
Romney is dead in the water, and I am positioned to capitalize on this one.

Betfair has about 18 million dollars matched on this so far.

Lately WSEX has been getting bad press and is rated as a D over at SBR.
I go back a ways with the management there, so I am going to be betting live over there tuesday.....not recommending it to anyone as a solid plan, but my relationship with them is unique; I am confident that I will be paid in short order.
On a serious note....the big books in Europe will take whatever you want to lay. This election will have one of the largest handles ever.

The funniest part of that ad are that "jobs, taxes, and energy" are 3 things that would make Jesus list of to do's.
Jesus was the ultimate socialist. Jesus would be appaled at people who vote for the economy, taxes, and jobs. Jesus was interested in one thing - selling all of your stuff and helping the poor and disenfranchised. He couldnt care less if health care was expensive - if people are dying because they dont have money he would have done anything to stop that.
It is literally amazing to me that christianity has been hijacked like this. Somehow - Repubs and people like Huckaby get followers of jesus to vote for financial and economic issues. It is beyond belief - and the ultimate con job.

Im averaged in on Obama at about -195 for a shitload.
I feel like I missed a good opportunity to unload some of that when I could have gotten +450ish a few weeks ago - but I still also feel strongly that when analyzed - -230 is still good value.
I cant do electoral math and come up with Romney as a winner. Obvioulsy things can happen in a week - but I am confident if the election were today that the odds should be closer to -500.

And the ultimate liberal.
If Jesus was walking the earth today and running for political office in the U.S. the Republicans would run vicious attack ads against him.
Liberal-1. Openminded, tolerant. 2. Favoring civil and political liberties. 3. Tending to give freely, generous.
--The demonization of this word is an incredible propagandistic feat.
